    What does your car idle at?

    I bumped my TB up to about 900rpms...it gets rid of that 1st gear bucking that sometimes occurs in traffic. Anything higher than 900 and the TB stays open for too long after you let off the throttle.

    I use Pennzoil Platinum 5w30 and a Motorcraft filter on mine. I used to buy Napa Gold filters (Wix) but got tired of running around for them.

    Max atf :( Went to all the local parts stores here and stared at a wall of exxon, wolf's head, castrol,and other lesser brands. RP and mobil 1 were my only synthetic choices. Im going to purchase that Cobra Bob gasket, and possibly change fluids again.

    While you are in there, invest in some decent strut bushings for the top. They will be around 30 bucks, and it will help you from pulling it all apart 2wice.

    89lx, do you notice the 5th gear whine getting louder when you put your hand on the shifter? I put in exactly 3quarts, and i know it calls for 3.17. I will search for these gaskets. I really dont feel like changing the fluid again.
