I just went to the hardware store and got a small piece of flat aluminized steel, painted it black (blends in with the glass), put a small piece of rubber on it that is made for going inside coil springs to raise the ride height...it is held in place...

    Pull those plugs back out and cut the gap down to .030"...they come out of the box with about .042" which is WAY too much and the spark will blow out under boost.

    Yeah, the regular 2.3 based SOHC engines have only been pushed to about 1200rwhp...the volvo head based 2.3's, about 600rwhp...I know what you mean...they go half as far :D

    Sounds like detonation to me...as stated, check the timing. If the timing is OK, odds are it's either a weak fuel pump, plugged fuel filter, dirty injectors, or a extremely carbon-filled engine...

    It doesn't care if you delete the EGR and/or cat. Neither one will create running issues or make a check engine light come on. It will throw a "code" but as long as you know why it's throwing the code, it doesn't matter.
