Rear disk options Exp v. Vic v. Mark

If using the stock pull type P-brake handle, then care needs to be taken to make sure everything is setup correctly when running SN-95 rear discs. The tunnel parking brake has much higher leverage, than the original first generation pull type. Where this comes into play is if the rear...

Power brakes with manual tranny in 66?

This is a booster/M.C. sold by NPD. This is in my '66 with T-5, stock clutch linkage, 4 wheel Cobra disc brake setup. 6 cylinder car (getting the same engine swap as you in a year or so). Works well. Has about 1" clearance under the Export Brace. With the stock brace it had about 3/8"...

    questions about supercharged motor

It would depend on the supercharger kit. But if it's a standard 5.0 kit, then it should work with stock 5.0 and some aftermarket accessory pulleys-brackets. BTW: That is going to be one fun car!

TCP rack + Vario Camber setup in a '66 ?

You are correct, and I am wrong. I was thinking of the '67-'68 kit which uses the stock weak ecentric. My sincere appologies to everyone here, and to Pro Motorsport. I do prefer to change shims, and eliminate the ecentric on the '67-'68. I have not used the Vario Kit for the '66. Nor have...

    EFI Supercharger Discharge Pipe

Sweet! That really came out looking clean. How much room between the blower belt and radiator? Just watch when it warms up. Yes Andy is right, On the stock kit the hose runs through a carb type fuel filter and then to the cold air box. Definitely don't go to boost with the stock hook up...

TCP rack + Vario Camber setup in a '66 ?

Not a fan of the Vario kit either. Not only is there too much slop around the orignal hole of the under supported frame brackets, but to change camber you have to remove the lower bolt completely. What genius designed that? Oh wait, I know... And yet another company sucking the dollars out...

    EFI on '72 Mach 1

Best to use cam with H.O. firing order. A9L is not quite that versatile. Besides you *really want* a new cam to take advantage of the EFI anyways. :nice: Have fun!

    Mustang Drop Spindles

Marketing hype The '94-'04 Ford Cobra rotor sits where it sits in relation to the wheel, no matter what car it's mounted on. My point was in relation to your marketing line of "reducing unsprung weight". If you designed a different hub, you could *effectively* reduce the unsprung weight...

Well the wife sent me to the dog house look what happen

When I first saw just the rim, I thought, no way in heck are those going to fit inside the fenderwell. This looks really good in my opinion! The deep dish on the rear looks awesome. I do like a taller sidewall on the rear though. Like 45 or 50. Have you considered a PhB or Watt's link...

    Mustang Drop Spindles

Yes, that is what I was refering to in my post as well. 94-04 Cobra. What I missed is a previous post from Degins stating he will be designing a new hub for the Cobra brake system. Should be a very interesting design.

    Mustang Drop Spindles

So will you use a non-Cobra disc, or a different hub? Kind of interesting that Ford did not consider the "unsprung mass issue" important enough to move it further in (especially since the Cobra was their flag ship track car at the time). Maybe they felt the the smaller hat area provided...

    Rich exhaust (out one side)??

There are a lot of reasons this could be happening. I doubt it's a valve problem. Have you done a wet and dry compression test? Has this car ever run correctly while you've owned it? Did the problem occur after installing the Carburetor? Have you made any other changes that may have caused...

    New exhaust installed (incoming pics)

Prior Planning Prevents Poor Performance. :flag: At least that has become my battle cry lately. I've thrown away a serious amount of money on past projects. :nonono:

    Torsional rigidity test: 67 coupe

Very impressive progress! You might try a couple of "C" clamps to similate the other two bolts missing in this version versus the stock unit. Maybe getting some cowl flex due to the spacing of the bolts. The box construction *should* make up the difference for the original draws, and the...

    New exhaust installed (incoming pics)

No, you are in very good... or maybe I should say very bad company :D It's when you start getting invited to their company functions, that you realize, it's time to implement the "5 Ps" In any case, very nice work. :nice:

    Torsional rigidity test: 67 coupe

Going back to the export brace: The reason it works so well is that it is a single broad piece with deep ribs. Using singular bars connected with Heim joints will only support the singular triangle it forms. And quite frankly the heim joints limit that. Looks pretty though. The Monte Carlo...

    New exhaust installed (incoming pics)

Man, I really like the fit of those accufab headers. Looks like they are tucked up at the frame level. 2.5" exhaust (IMO) is so much nicer to work with. Your's came out great! Are you using stock height engine mounts?

    EFI Supercharger Discharge Pipe

Looks very clean. Great job! I'll look forward to seeing the dyno results, and hearing more about your combination. Looks like a very nice selection of EFI peripherals too. EFI and the Vortech is a killer combination. Very reliable, easy to drive, awesome power and wicked sound...

Has anyone seen info on a late model IFS swap into a classic stang?

Well, if you want to see an 8.8" grafted in, I've done that on the car in my signature (click the link). So have others on this forum. Like Reen said, you're not seeing much on the front end because people who have the newer Mustangs and want excellent handling, modify the heck out of the...
