Help, I'm out of parts to replace! -- Electrical

Don't hack any wires yet till you find out if a new wiring harness you make up works, (it's a 30-45 min. job) if it does then you have a short most likely in the "old wires" and can just unhook or hack them to break the short. Tape and mark any wires you unhook and note their location...

    Got called a douchebag

Sounds like you wouldn't last 15 minutes with my GF, lmao Actually she's kinda cute when she goes into a tirade on me calling me every name in the book:rlaugh: Just consider the source in your situation, guy was probably jealous, that's what usually elicits that kind of statement...

Hard Starting: Looking for possile leads...

Todd should just do both suggestions and get that Stang back on the road were it belongs:nice: New points, condenser and unhook the choke, total cost about $10.00? When he mentioned he rebuilt the carb he said nothing about a new choke so I am assuming he's still using the old...

Help, I'm out of parts to replace! -- Electrical

OK, first off I can't find my diagrams anywhere now but here's what I've got under the hood. Assuming your starting with all parts in working order start by making up a temporary harness, you'll need a few female ends that will go over the male ends on the regulator, and connector ends to...

Help, I'm out of parts to replace! -- Electrical

I only made a new harness from the regulator over to the alt. then up to the solenoid. Also I made new ground wires then added a new manufactured one from the firewall to the engine (heavy gage braided type). I marked with masking tape the old wires and their hookup locations then clipped...

    So my '68 was stolen

My last intention is to get a political arguement going that's for sure. This tread would probably go into 30-40 pages on that issue as I'm sure everyone has an opinion on the war. My don't volunteer for anything statement was ended with an lol, meant as humor, everyone has heard this phrase...

Help, I'm out of parts to replace! -- Electrical

I've got a 68 with an I6 and had electrical problems that kept me busy for weeks inbetween working on the POS engineered front end and other areas that needed attention. My battery tested bad (looked fairly new), alternator tested bad also (looked like new) so I replaced everything including...

    So my '68 was stolen

If there's one thing I leaned over the past 5 years it's to never say it can't get any worse, because lifes circumstances will soon prove that very wrong. Hope things improve some with your families situation. Some good advice here and I hope others will back me up on this, NEVER volunteer...

Hard Starting: Looking for possile leads...

Try my suggestion earlier about holding open the choke and trying a cold start for a few days. First off remove the air cleaner and visibly see if the choke is totally closed or stuck though. Do what you would usually do before a start (pump the linkage by hand and watch what the choke does)...

I need help!! Is my 68 worth saving?

Being a welder is a big plus to start with, (I'm one also) rebuilding that car would be a good test of your abilities and would probably hone your talents even further welding up the tough spots vertically and horizontal and my favorite overhead. A MIG would also be a plus, I only have AC/DC arc...

What's the best deal you ever got on a Stang?

Wish we all could get a once in a lifetime chance at something like that. With that kind of luck and % return have you ever considered trading penny stocks?,lol (seriously) Great deal, way to go!!! Just two charts showing what I meant about trading penny stocks...

    67 Coupe Headliner Installation

Ahh your a better man than I to attempt that. I need headliner work as well to finish off an otherwise new interior so looking forward to the pics to see what's involved. Around those pillar areas is what would make me farm that job out (and I don't do that to often). Last time I tried...

Solid 65 Whats it worth. *pics*

Personally I'd pass on the black window trim (because it's lookin to good) but if your selling it I don't think it will matter much as anyone can order the chrome pieces if they wanted. If they want the car bad enough, that small item won't matter if you do them black. Looks like you got a...
