    overheating?

220 is ok in a pressurized system. So long as the water can't flash to steam, nothing bad is going to happen. Head warpage doesn't happen until 500+ and that requires that the water not flow thru the head. That said, mustangs have a decent radiator. Things to check. (1) thermostat. They...

    Meth Injection

while methanol does have a higher octane (knock resistance) rating, it also only contains about 70% of the energy that is contained in an equal volume of gasoline. So as you remove gas, you have to add methanol, and more of it than the quantity of gas you remove...

module on pass. side fenderwell. it keeps burning out.

This doesn't sound like a CCRM problem. Sounds more like a fuel-pump or wiring problem. The CCRM won't make the fuse blow, it just completes the circuit to turn the pump on. If current draw is excessive, you can burn the contact points in the CCRM relay. But to fix, you need to find out...

    Heating A/C Problem

I'm not sure how that model year works, but there are doors operated by vacuum controls that direct the air flow. You could have a vacuum line pulled loose under the dash, or a cracked line, or the vacuum acutator itself could be bad. A good haynes/chilton book should show you where the...

    Fuel pump change

125 sounds like a non-tank-drop installation. Many GM cars have an access panel in the trunk. I've changed the pump on a Buick LeSabre in 15 minutes. But the mustang doesn't include the access panel so the tank has to come down and that's a challenge to complete in an hour. Typically more...

    bogs down @ high rpm

could also be your fuel pump going out. You can always check the pressure to see if it is up to spec although on newer 4.6's without the test valve it is harder to do. But this has happened before and a weak pump will not be able to deliver the volume you need at higher speeds.

    Help !

I would not say "nothing to worry about". If the TOB goes out, your traveling is going to come to an end as it can come apart, sieze and either of those will bring use to a halt.

    Cam Install

As the old 14th century ocean maps used to say "here there be dragons!". If you are going to install cams, remove the cover and do it correctly so that you know the timing is set dead on. If that chain slips, can can do serious engine damage, and trying to avoid removing the timing chain...

    clutch cable problems

Check the cable installation carefully. Make sure the new quadrant is sitting properly on the clutch pedal shaft as well. The cable should follow the quadrant so that it does not get a sharp bend where the cable exits the housing. Sounds like something is wrong with how the cable is...

    A/C question / problem

Most of the imports have very little room for error in charge quantity. A typical amerinca AC might use 3 12 oz cans of R134, while a Honda needs something like 20oz (depending on model, this is an Accord V6). An over-charge can damage the compressor, and also will make it run poorly as it is...

    cutting out fake scoop?

spark plug wells are water traps. Seen way too many water intrusion problems to try to cut a hole and invite rainwater in.

    getting rid of EGR tube

Then you should be seeing a CEL with the code "EGR flow insufficient"... computer can open the EGR and determine whether anything is flowing through it or not by both watching O2 reading as well as engine RPM change...

    maybe problem with hydralic lifter

They should all feel the same. If one were somehow "different" I'd replace it without thinking about it. They are not expensive parts... Replacing the whole batch won't break the bank..

    A/C compressor replacement questions

My previous post unfortunately mixed up clutch and compressor, too late at night. A clutch failure won't contaminate anything. A compressor failure can discharge metal particles into the freon and they will wash throughout the system. But, if a clutch fails, it can produce mega-heat. And...

    A/C compressor replacement questions

Here's the nitty-gritty answer. It depends on what failed. If the compressor pully bearing failed, or the clutch itself failed, you don't need a new drier or orifice tube. Those are normally replaced if the clutch dies internally as it will produce metal pieces that can flow thru the system...

Please help ID this clutch and do you see anything wrong?

clutches run _HOT_. Nothing you can do about it. The flywheel has the usual heat discoloration, as does the pressure plate. Some will look better many will look worse. However, since a clutch is cheap and it is a PITA to replace, I would resurface the flywheel and replace the clutch anyway...

Engine build gone wrong! What combo due I need?

You only gave _one_ reason. hence my comment directed at it. But in going forward, you do realize that a bigger cam can actually hurt performance? Isolated additions don't work well. If you increase duration/overlap/lift, you have to increase airflow, or you lose power and torque. that...

Engine build gone wrong! What combo due I need?

Just unplug two coils and the idle will be rough enough, and you will have saved a ton of money. That's the _wrong_ reason to buy a new cam. Like buying a new pacemaker just because you like the color. There are good reasons and bad reasons for doing most anything. This is a bad reason...

    Installing Injectors?

One bit of advice is to replace the o-rings whether they look good or not. A touch of some neutral-type grease on each one to help it slip in without getting nicked is a good idea. Sometimes you will find they get stuck and the injector will pull out leaving the o-ring behind. make sure every...

96 GT, front hub question - roaring

Check the pads on the front. Some are made with a small groove in them and they crack there. That causes an amazing amount of roaring when brakes get heated up... Bearings don't "roar". Usual sign of problems is wheel wobble, or if you are very alert, a click/tick type noise that is not...
