    New plugs and wires definatley.You might need to do an engine flush. Did the car sit around for a long time? <--due to the low mileage? I would suggest having a Ford dealership look at it if there is one in your area.

    If you just do the PI swap you will end up wanting more power. If you just get a blower you will end up wanting more power.     I took mine to a shop and they found the crack but mine was spraying everywhere cause the crack in mine was so big.Do you have a performance shop near you that can diagnose the problem?

    The plastic intake is your actual intake manifold. They are know to crack on NPI cars from 96 to 98. More than likely you need a new manifold but they are not that expensive. Make sure its not a gasket first before you start changing the manifold

    What gains to expect with pi intake

    Im pretty sure you can use the PI intake with the non PI heads.someone correct me if im wrong. However I would recommend doing the whole swap. Its worth it.You will gain a little with just the intake and that plenum though but I do not have an exact number for you.

    I have Nittos and when I went to the track was not to impressed. I had Mickey thompsons on my z28 last year and those seemed to hook alot better but they didnt last as long.

    I would also have to think your fuel pump is the problem. I would also recommend you start using 91 octane or above gas.
