Learn me about the 2.3 Turbo engines :)

times an price I run low 13s with my svo but that was before the new turbo. I havent had time to ge to the track. A good svo should cost from 3k-6k depending on the mileage and condition. I have bought 5 for less than 500 each but turned a few wrenches and sold for over 4k each...

How much can you see through a good Catalytic Converter?

Bust it out. if the car is running right it will pass emissions without the cat. plus it is worth a few ponys

65mm throttle body problem with the tps

That is why most people buy the adaptor plates as well. it moves the TB away from the intake. This gives you the clearance you need.

65mm throttle body problem with the tps

If you are asking about the electricla connection either cut off your old plug and splice it in or bu an adaptor. As far as the TPS first check the voltage out and see if it even needs adjusting.

My car sits at 34 with the vac line on and 41 with the line off. Sounds normal to me.

We are waiting on a set of 2005 bullits right now. as soon as they arrive we will be posting fit issues. but supposidly the offset and backspacing are close but the wheel is 8" vs 7" so not sure where the tire will end up on the car.

What good does a Breather do?

forced4 check out their site they have a kit to replace the stock set up. NO HP gain but you wont have oil blowing back into your turbo inlet and VAM

    extra fuel rail or hoses?

plastic lines? If you are refering to the plastic lines with either the hairpin clip or duckbill clip they are available through Dorman/help. Most napa stores can get what you need. Mind you these are a repair kit type set up. Not the entire line back to the fuel tank.

Benefits of running a 65mm TB

How How is it a bottle neck, the adaptor hole is 70mm? As long as you use the adaptor as a template to open up the intake you should be fine. If you just slap the adaptor onto the intake without opening it up you you are right it is a waste of time.

Benefits of running a 65mm TB

kits I am running the Tiny avenger kit on my svo and it didnt show any HP increase on a stock set up but the throttle response was definatly noticable. Now I have switched things arround it would be interesting to dyno again with the stock TB vs the 65mm to see if there is a top end change.

    Is $1500 too much?

2.3 fox cars have not been tortured the way a 5.0 was. Just about every 5.0 I have seen has a twisted roof and buckeled floors. The 2.3 in stock form cant do that on its best day. IMHO if you are doing a engine swap look for a clean 2.3. furthermore you can find decent svo's for 3-4k...

    1979 2.3 turbo into 83 NA2.3 ranger

you will need the trany out of the ranger and the bell housing. It will bolt up. The mustang t5 wont fir without cutting your seats (if you have a bench). I would have rather found a turbo coupe for the donor. Bhuff is correct that cvarbed turbos are a pain. lol
