    05 GT Manual, lossing syncros 2sd-3rd ???

I wouldn't worry about a problem that has not happened yet. And, the previous problem was usually more of a 1-2 problem rather than the 2-3 problem originally posted in this thread.

    05 GT Manual, lossing syncros 2sd-3rd ???

Not normal. Look at the 3650 thread. I did this battle with my '02 GT. Finally got it fixed under the long awaited TSB.

    05 GTs walked by Used Non-Modded Z28s

I geuss you got me. I do remember likeing the go-cart ride. Wouldn't have had it any other way. Guess I should have realized this when I dropped my '02 GT and had thoughts of putting the 4x4 springs back. Everytime I think about dropping the '05, I end up riding on the New Orleans streets...

    05 GTs walked by Used Non-Modded Z28s

sawman70, You are right. And our old Constitution, at least for now, gives everyone the right to speak their mind. After reading the multitute of posts that try to compare apples and battery acid, I'm getting a little tired of hearing the same old crybaby horse poop that has raged since...

    05 GTs walked by Used Non-Modded Z28s

Driving an '05 immediately after driving an '04 or older Mustang, any model/trim, makes you feel like you stepped out of an antique! I've had a '98 GT, '02 GT, '04 MACH 1, '03 Marauder, '04 Marauder and dozen or so other older Fords. I now have an '05 Black GT - stick. With my experience...

    Flowmaster?

Thanks. I had the 40's on a '98 GT. It seemed like I always hit a rpm/load range for the drone all the time. 1800 rpms. I've had to alter my driving style from shifting when I felt the torque fade to keeping a better eye on the tach because this thing pulls all the way to redline. Then...

    Flowmaster?

Could one of you guys tell me if the exhaust is much louder in the cabin at cruise. I'd appreciate it. Really want to go with the flows, but, I don't want to hear my wife complain about the sound on the hwy. Thanks

    Hood shake problem build dates

Just bought my GT. It was built in May '05. No hood shake at all. All you can see is the hood lift a hair at speed. I read that the new Shelbys have the functional hood vents to alleviate the under hood pressure from the raked forward retro design.

    Automatic or Manual

I made my wife learn how to drive a stick in case of an emergency. She's not too good, but can get the car from point A to point B.

    Breaking In

So he works for Tremec? After fighting the Ford Tremec 1-2 and 2-3 shift problem for six months on my '02 GT, I'll take it easy for the little bit of time it takes to hit 1000k - whether or not it helps the motor/trans/rear. Of course, I'll give it gas, vary speed, etc.

    Whine in 5th gear...

I had a whine from the rear of my 04 Marauder under the same conditions as you described. I blew it off until I noticed the rear cover leaking oil. brought it to the dealer for the leak and asked them to check the rear and bearing if the oir was low, &, mentioned the whine. Dealer called me...

    New 2005 GT

Thanks Mike! Can't say that I noticed any of these problems. I'll keep an ear open while I'm enjoying the car and putting it to the test.

    New 2005 GT

Thanks for the replys. I'm still on my first tank of gas from the dealer. Guess I'll find out if I have the problem shortly. Gotta say, I did not fully beleive all of the reviews on this car, but it really is a completely different car. Much more refined without loosing the grunt!

    New 2005 GT

Hello all. I've been away from this site for awhile due to buying a MACH1, then two marauders. Couldn't take it anymore, so I bought a 2005 GT yesterday after stumbling across it while with a friend looking at '04s. Glad the original buyer couldn't close the deal. I've been reading...

    CDC Shaker Install

If anyone knows a simple way to meter air/fuel, please let me know. I may block the snorkel to see how the shaker works solo. Williamsracing - - - Sorry to hear CDC would not work with you. I called expecting a fight, (mostly because customer service seems to be dead in the '00s) but right...

    CDC Shaker Install

It would seem that myponyrocks is correct about the draw of air into the motor. Not that FORD has always built with performance in mind, but they did leave the snorkel in place as well. Would I hurt performance by closing off the snorkel? Run too rich? Having trouble uploading under...

    CDC Shaker Install

Just got back from a road trip. In one of my first posts, I asked some questions regarding the actual utility of closing off the fender snorkel. Does anyone have any idea how this might affect the MAF sensor/computer? Would it create any more of a ram air effect?
