    you have a t-45 transmission. 2 good shifters fo the t-45 is the steeda tri-ax or a pro 5.0 It depends on how short you want the shifter because the pro 5.0 has the shortest.

    Did you try dynoing your car with the air silencer out and a higher flowing tube that goes from the mass air to the tb. If you did and lost hp then you have a perfect reason why you didn't put a cai on your car. there is some gain that can be made off of a cai . Not much but there is some.

    I have never heard of a mustang coming from the factory with 21 lbs injectors. you should have 19 lbs injectors. also that 3lbs is a big difference. That 3lbs will make your car run rich. about the other mods. The tb if nothing else made you lose hp. Why did you change out the maf. the stock one...

    3.73 is an all around excellent gear. If you go with 4.10 you traction problem is only going to increase. With slicks and staying N/A then go with 4.10 but if you have any doubt in you mind that you might put spray or a blower on your car the go with the 3.73.

    I agree with both of them. If you aren't pegging out you stock mass air then you don't need another one.

    Carbon on pistons???

    The best stuff to use is either auto matic trans. fluid or gm top engine cleaner. With the top engine cleaner you pour it into you motor and let it sit all night whenever you crank it up in the morning it will blow all of it out. It is some really good stuff.

    They only made 800 tangerine orange mustangs. They also came with 3.27 which is the same gear in the new ones. But like everyone said put some gear and buy a whole PI motor.

    most people with the heads dyno around 250 at the wheels but with the cams and intake I have seen numbers around the 225 range so there is about a 25 rwhp difference.

    What mod next?

    I would do 3.73 or 4.10's with a Pi stallion or vigilante stall convertor. This combo with some slicks will help you lose a lot of 1/4 mile time. You should gain no less than half a sec.

    this should be in talk but if you are wanting something that is really good on a road course get an 03 cobra. but sense you don't want a mustang gt a 350z and do an sr20 swap. It would be fast and handle really good.

    a bad fuel filter will not cause it ot misfire but will make it very luggish feeling. If you just replace the spark plugs and wires I would try this.     I wouldn't have wasted my money on a cold air intake unless it had a bling factor. They don't help out hp and if you say you lost 2 hp at the wheels from the last time you dynoed you car then in reality you didn't lose a thing because your hp doesn't stay the same being weather condition ,etc...

    I would have your heads ported because it would be a lot cheaper. If you have the money and you want to get the most performance out of your engine then build a short block with non PI pistons and svo heads.

    The svo heads without being ported are better than PI heads. They are not a version of the non PI heads. If you have ever read about them they are 100% completely different. They are better and If I had the money I would buy them over the PI heads

    is backfire bad??

    mine does the same thing. I have replaced the purgecanister and the evap soleniod. the reason I replace mine is because my check engine light is on though.
