    Flywheel: Steel vs Aluminum

thanks for all the responses, i think i'm gonna go with a billet steel one if i can afford it. I'm not gonna be racing the car and i've heard about some problems with revs dropping too quickly and stalling with the aluminum fw's.

T-5 Swap: What else do I need.

If your 302 is from 1981 or earlier, then you need to use a 28 oz imbalance factor. If your transmission is from an 89 then the flywheel uses a 50 oz imbalance and will need to be rebalanced or replaced. Many people recommend replacing the aluminum front input shaft retainer with a steel one...

    Flywheel: Steel vs Aluminum

I found a really good deal on an aluminum flywheel for my upcoming T5 conversion. I have a 289 thats stock right now and won't see drastic upgrades. I also use my car as a daily driver. Is the aluminum up to the task? or will the steel outlast it?

Know if its possible to find a 67/8 fastback

its gonna be A LOT harder to find anything (especially at that price) here in southern california. If you look out of state you probably have a better shot at finding something that will work for you.

do you think its getting into overdrive? does it cruise pretty comfortably at 65 or are you wound out? try shifting one below drive and see if it goes into a lower gear initially (1st)

    Aod Not Shifting To Forth???!!

what RPM's are you running at what speed on the highway? and what is your rear gear ratio? it could be bypassing first gear in normal drive mode (my C4 does that)

The younger generation has no clue about cars.......

jes72mustang is right, we all have to start out somewhere. Some of those who are lucky grow up around engines and rebuild cars with their dads well before they can ever drive one. Some of us aren't so lucky. When i bought my mustang a couple years ago, i had no idea what i was getting myself...

    Neutral safety switch

i have taken my battery out in the morning about three times since this started happening before i tried to start it. I hooked it up to the charger and it immediately read "fully charged". I don't have a voltmeter but I'll get one and check it out, but i think the battery and charging system is...

    Neutral safety switch

I have a 66 with a 289 and C4 thats been very slow starting lately. I discovered that the wires leading to the neutral safety switch were in contact with the exhaust and may have been damaged, i'm thinking this might be causing the starting problem, as i have checked everything else. Is it ok to...
