Well, here's how far I am with the EFI swap.

I'm not positive. It's either a 70's maverick or an 80's four cylinder mustang. I thought it would make no difference on 4 whl drums but the stopping difference is night and day. I thought I had put on disc brakes the first time I drove it.

Well, here's how far I am with the EFI swap.

Looking good man, I love to see a work in progress. Looks awful familiar though hmmmm......here's mine. Sorry for the size but these are downsized from the ones on my hd and they're all less than 100k for the dialup guys. Not trying to hijack, just thought pictures might explain better...

    Turn a 65 Coupe into a Fastback?

Ebay ad Check it out man, looks like a pain to do, but If I hated my coupe enough I'd go for it. The guy here says he cut it out painstakingly to make the conversion easier and it kinda makes sense how he did it. But I'm no expert here, any ideas?

    Check this Mustang out

It doesn't even look mean. It looks like a mustang with no wheels sitting on a trailer. I'm gonna go dry heave some more.....

Mr. McCormick at FordFuenlInjection.com needs to get some priorities straight...

Well there you go man, at least now while you're waiting, you know it's being done right. I wonder how many other people like you are w/o their harnesses too. It sounds like most of his business comes from online customers, so you'd think that a confirmations would be rather quick. But who...

Mr. McCormick at FordFuenlInjection.com needs to get some priorities straight...

Sorry man, no I'd never heard of the guy until your post here. I'm still carbed lol. I can see where my wording above would have implied that thouh. The kit I ordered was my power brake/pedal assembly/clutch cable w/quadrant from Mustang Steve, an awesome guy to do business with. I'm gonna do my...

Mr. McCormick at FordFuenlInjection.com needs to get some priorities straight...

That is just messed up man. Guy should try to be more like mustang steve. I just checked my email history, and I ordered my kit ($484 shipped) on march 1st and it was at my house on the 16th and he had a delay on getting parts to boot. I'd be irate if I were you. At least a confirmation, or...

    T-5 won't fit to crossmember.

    No problem speed, anytime.

You are one lucky dude. Congrats on the fastback.

    T-5 won't fit to crossmember.

Check and see if you have to use a 65-66 trans mount. My crossmember is the modern driveline unit, made for the swap from an auto to a t5. On their site it says the 65 auto. trans mount will bolt up to the t5 then to the crossmember. I didn't read that part of the site and tried to use the 1991...

    some new pics of 01vs66

Beautiful cars man, you should be proud. I notice steeda equipment on the gt. Do you have any of the g-trac suspension kits on there? My friend has stage 1,2,3 and his car is rock solid. A 20 mph turn in a regular car is a 60mph for him, the car is stuck to the ground. As far as I'm concerned...

If you had $10,000 to spend on your 66 what would you do?

Is that 300-350hp at the wheels or flywheel? Myself, I'd go with efi, a low compression 347 with a kenne belle flowzilla at a measly 8-10lbs of boost, if you're looking for reliablity (as reliable as blown strokers can be, but that really depends on how YOU drive) If you don't care much...

    T5 conversion advice, please

Yes the early mount it the ticket here, I used a c4 trany mount and it works great. From what the driveshaft shop told me, original u-joints for 65-66 stangs had 1" cups on all four sides. I'm sure a local shop can mate and balance the yoke to your d/s for you. I just went ahead and had a new...

Back to daily driving the classic, any tips?

I'm liking the nerf idea too, just cut and stick. Way easier. Depending on how you cut it, I can see that it'll leak, but the plexi thing is a little more work to make up. I'd try the nerf idea.

Back to daily driving the classic, any tips?

Go efi :rlaugh: About the scoop, how about a small pice of plexiglass cut to fit with some weatherstripping around it. Drill a couple holes in it and put a little handle on it (nut and blot maybe) Just make it so it can be shoved nice and snug in the hole, so it comes in and out in a matter of...

    Flywheel and clutch question

Yup, any 10.5" should do. I'm planning on a king cobra when the current one starts slipping. Of course that's when/if I have a mustang to put it in.

    help a newbie choose between 4.6, 5.0, & 351W?

About the 351 efi swap, try asking in the 5.0 tech forum. A lot of the guys there swap out their 5.0s for 351s and I'm pretty sure they keep it fuel injected without re-wiring the whole car. I'm not up to snuff on the whole swap, but it's pretty common. So pretty much, if you can go 5.0 efi, you...
