    In dash CD Players

Ok so my current CD player just wont play CD's and I dunno why. I don't really like it anyways so rather than paying to have it fixed i'm just going to buy a new in dash unit.. Anyone have any recommendations? I'm looking for something that is relatively cheap $ but doesn't skip every other word...

hmmm.. Help me out guys.. vehicle speed sensor and parking brake??

I don't know if the car has a speed sensor.. But it's for adjustment of the cd palyer's volume.. New cd players now adays automatically adjust to higher volume as you increase speed, since your car is most likely louder it automatically increases volume to leave one less distraction for you.

    Exhaust question (Dumps)

YEa i kinda forgot to specify that I personally think it sounds better outside of the car with dumps. I got dumps that extend a bit further back than the dumps I had origionally.. That helped the not being able to hear in the car and also kept the sound I love. There's nothing like driving by a...

    Traction Lock Clutch installation

Roughly how much should it cost me to have a mechanic install my clutch kit for my traction lock? Me & my dad don't feel comfortable enough with the installation to do it ourselves as there's tons of things that can be done wrong and just fry the clutches again.

    Exhaust question (Dumps)

Difference in performance or sound? The difference from dumps to tailpipes is huge. I had dumps origionally, couldn't hear **** inside the car. Put on tailpipes and the sound was a HUGE difference inside the car. Outside the car it was a noticeable difference but the main difference was from...

    Exhaust Spitting Flames?

I agree that 7500 RPMs is a lot.... My car shoots flames from time to time when I'm downshifting and revving it high (Definetly not 7500 though).. It's just unburnt gasoline in my case. Hopefully that's all yours is.

Billet pedals...which do not use screws?

I would imagine that the screw-in kits would be safer/more reliable than a bolt on style kit.... Less likely to have 4 screws magically come out of the pedal than have a clip or 2 slip off and cause the cover to fly off and your foot to slip off the break causing you to rear end someone. (Worse...

    More timing feels good

My carburetor was backfiring out of it when I would floor it to WOT.. After some questions and asking for help I eventually figured out my timing was too advanced. Retarded it down to 12* and it runs like a beauty. I can floor it and it just tears ass doesnt backfire out of the carb or out of...

    3.55 or 3.73's?

Wow i'm sold.. I run at 2000-2100 rpms @ 80 mph on the highway with stock gears in my car. If it's only going to rise it another ~500 rpm then 3.73's are definetly what i'm going with :) I was wondering that as 3.73's are one of my next mods but wasn't sure how badly highway driving would be.

    Hot as HELL inside car

If I'm just sitting there I notice the heat comming through the leg area. My girlfriend has commented on the heat on her feet passenger side. But when I'm driving I don't really notice it. I'm interested as you are though, because Id like to make my passengers feet not catch fire just sitting...

    Quick Timing Question

I could smell lots of unburnt fuel with my car too, checked the timing and it was way too advanced... Try backing the timing off some and see how it does. It's pretty easy to adjust the timing a bit and if that's the only problem might as well give it a try before you go into pulling codes and...

    Questions about King Cobra clutch

I don't HAVE to rev it to 2k, I could take off with only the clutch assuming I wasn't on an incline.. That's just how I do it though. Between 1500-2000 and I ease off the clutch.

    Quick Timing Question

If you're getting fuel out of the exhaust then your timing is TOO advanced I believe. My car has minor modifications (Not much internally) And I only run at 12*

    Questions about King Cobra clutch

Yep. I installed a king cobra, the engage to disengage difference in the pedal is a lot shorter from stock but once you get used to it it's very easy to gradually release off the clutch.. When I take off at a light I rev the car to 2k and gradually ease off the clutch and have no problem doing...

460 in 5.0 wont start for the life of me!!

My buddy rebuilt his 5.0 and when he tried to start it he had the same problem as you. Even a high torque starter didn't have enough power to spin the engine to start it. He had to push start it then once it ran for a minute he shut it off and the starter was able to do its job.

    1 Wheel peel

Cool, I'd appreciate it... I think that's the route i'm going to go. I'll buy a rebuild kit from 50resto and just rebuild the ****er. On average how long do these things last for? As far as I know its got the same trac-lock on it from factory so if this rebuilt one even lasts 1/2 as long as this...

    1 Wheel peel

My dad is very good with cars so between the 2 of us i'm sure we can rebuild it. I was just wondering what all options there were, where as a new traklock or a rebuild kit... Just wondering what kinda differences there are in prices. One tire might be cheaper than 2 sure, but I mean.. I...

    Carb tuning questions

Welp, I called edelbrock to ask for carb tuning help and it turned out the carb was tuned fine, my timing was just off. I was leaving the vacuum advance line ON while changing timing, which you aren't supposed to. I took the vacuum advance line off and my timing jumped from 18* to -5*.. He told...
