    Mercon V is also the new recomended fluid for the AOD. It was not available when the AOD was in production, but Ford recomends it's use now, IF aq complete chage is made.

    Yes, set the TV cable the way it is supposed to be. If you error, do it on the tight side, not loose. When you have the gas pedal on the floor, you want the TV cable as close as you can be to the full pressure position on the trans, with out it getting to max too early.

    Emissions are different from state to state. Some like CA, are very strict, others have no testing at all. That is why it is not emission legal. If AZ only does a cniffer test, it should pass easy with cats.

    Draining the converter will not help it come out easier, but will sure make for a cleaner shop floor. If you dont drain it, you will get about 6-8 quarts of trans fluid come out if that trans shaft slips out of the converter more than a inch or two. I would also plug the 2 fittings on the right...

    Tenessee has no vehicle inspections at all. Metro Nashville has some type of inspection, and maybe one other city, but not the State. I live in Clarksville, and am putting the finishing touchs on my 93 Tbird with a carbed 393 stroker.
