Where can I find the actual MAF curves?

The F67F-12B579-EA was used on Taurus, Ranger, Escort, the F37F-12B579-FA is for a '94 Ranger. It's not about the MAF's ability to FLOW more air as in physically able to let air pass and not be a restriction, because what you are saying is true, that diameter is fine. What is the limiting...

Can stock '03/'04 cobra injectors be used in a pushrod engine?

Well, we tuned a Gen 2 turbo Lightning that made 800/800 through an auto tranny - it had 72's in it and they were not done yet. The 60's at increased pressure flow more and are more streetable.

Can stock '03/'04 cobra injectors be used in a pushrod engine?

Paul, get the SD 60's - great low PW spray pattern which makes for terrific driveability. We run them in our Mustang with the PT88 - they are rated for 60# at a FP of 43.5 - we run ours at a base FP of 55 - they take well to increased FP. So essentially with the increase FP, they are essentially...

    lightning maf????

No you do noty need the MAF nor will you pick up anything with it except hassles. You'd need a new custom tune to get it to work really right. Then you'd have a MAF that is way over capacity. You always want to choose a MAF where you use about 80% of its range other wise you lose low end resolution.

Can stock '03/'04 cobra injectors be used in a pushrod engine?

The connectors are also used on V6's 1U2Z-145411-BPA The other little know fact about those injectors is they are made specifically for a spilt port so they have a split spray pattern. Doesn't make much difference spraying them into t a single port, but it's a fact to file away under useless...

    OBD2 conversion thread/ 95 GT ecm to 96F150 computer

Thanks! I'd love to claim credit for that swap, but I HATE wrenching - too much of an old fart - I'm strictly the tuning guy! Rob, my son and partner designed that project and did all the work. Looked factory. Besides tuning it I DID have a part though - since he was busy, I was the one who...

    OBD2 conversion thread/ 95 GT ecm to 96F150 computer

We did this years ago on one of our Gen 1 Lightnings. We used a processor and a harness out of a 96 5.8 van. You DO have to make sure the donor vehicle also has a distributor. Transmissions also must match as in E4OD=E4OD and not 4R70W. In an auto Mustang 94-95 the E4OD flavor just would not...

    granatelli for blowthrough?

You can basically use any MAF in either draw through or blow through in a properly designed sytem with no ill effects or decreased range. But the kicker here is a "properly designed system". What this means is you have to maintain the integrity of laminar airflow though the MAF. If you take a...

    SCT Xcal2 or SCT X3 ??

The X2 is the older very stable tuner it holds 3 tunes, datalogs, reads and clears DTCs. The X3 is SCT's newest flasher that has more memory (added just for '07 and up Mustang GT Autos and similar vehicles where the file size is huge), has a slightly larger screen, but does the same thing as...

Whats up with my A/f ?

The pressure drop across the fuel injectors should always be around 39ish - 90 is WAYYYY off from where it should be, but I'd have to see the whole log to be sure that may have been just a spike for some reason. If it truly IS 90 all the time then I'd start checking the fuel system, starting...

Will I pass emissions with rear o2's turned off with x-cal2

The rear 02 sensors are there to monitor catalytic converter function only. If they are shut off in the tune then there will be no emissions 'hit' by leaving them off. If they are physically not there or the cats are gone, you may not pass a visual inspection, if they do a visual where you live...

    351 Windsor in a 67 Fairlane GTA?

Seeing as how the engine comaprtment would hold a 390 or 427 with room, and also since most V8 Fairlanes in 66-67 were 289's, it should fit right in. Tons of places sell parts for them still. My guess is stock 289 motor mounts would work. The easiest thing is to go carb and get a vacuum advance...

Whats up with my A/f ?

Couple of things... You are only guessing until you datalog things - like they said, log FP duty cycle and pressure drop across theinjectors - also log MAF AD counts and see where they are - if you are pegging the MAF, which I doubt - the counts will be at or approaching 1023. Be sure to use...

    AODE- OD question...

Since I may be going to an AEM, I have a Bauman controller on the tranny - not my first choice, but for this particular setup, the only choice.

    AODE- OD question...

It's all about momentum and the rotating parts and what the band has to do to stop the momentum of the parts, and get other parts moving fast - that's it very basically. And there is nothing you can do to strengthen the OD band and the way it works. Even a built tranny has this problem. When I...

    AODE- OD question...

In a high powered car letting it shift to OD ONCE can destroy the tranny - not just OD, but the whole thing. Another really bad thing is to do 4-2 kickdowns with an AOD-E - absolutely detsroys transmissions.

    Stock 5.0 block limits

The stock EEC is about all done at a little less than 7000 - just too many processes to control, you end up losing spark and fuel control because the processor is too slow. You'd more than likely need something like an AEM as well besides what others have already mentioned.

I think i just blew up my car with my new mongoose kit....

First off, use the Xcal to read codes - see if you have any. Next, as other suggested, do a really good physical inspection of the system - I'd unbolt (I assume you are running T-Bolt clamps as they hold better) all the couplers and tubes and remove them and look at them really close, then, put...
