    Rust Bubble on Hood

Obviously I feel your pain. Thanks for adding your input to this thread. I agree that you'd think they'd have a handle on this problem by now. Hopefully the dealer will be receptive to hood replacement. My concern is that if this is an issue with cars that are still coming off the line, a...

    Rust Bubble on Hood

I guess since it's my car I don't see it as such a small issue. But then I'm the guy who really takes pride in the appearance of his vehicles, and usually parks far away from others in parking lots, etc... There are three spots on the hood; two are on the underside, and the third started on...

    Rust Bubble on Hood

I understand and respect, but do not agree with your point. I've had two previous Mustangs of recent vintage--a 96 Cobra convertible, and a 95 GT convertible. I never had the problems with interior, wheels and now paint/corrosion that I'm having with this car. I think that any car regardless...

    Rust Bubble on Hood

You're missing my point. It should have never happened in the first place. Actually, it will not "Just like magic be brand new". It will be a nearly new car with a new hood and non-factory paint. And that is assuming they don't screw something else up when they have it in for the repair...

    Rust Bubble on Hood

So we've got one other person here with the same thing & Ford has a TSB out on the issue. Just curious, has anyone tried to get a warranty repair done on this problem? This is just such BS on a car that stickered for nearly $35K. I love Mustangs but this will definitely be my last ford for...

    Rust Bubble on Hood

I went out to wash my 07 GT today and found an approximately 1 inch long rust bubble on the front lip of the hood, just above the driver side headlight. It appears to have started underneath the hood at a weld. There is a similar spot in the same area on the underside of the passerngers side...

Getting an '08 Looking for MUST-HAVES

My $0.02: I have the cloth top in black and love it. I owned 95 & 96 Stang convertibles prior to the 07. IMO, the cloth top is quieter and seals better than the vinyl. My wife had a Sebring with the cloth top and the way that it looked and wore was the deciding factor when we ordered the GT...

    Where are your parts made?

I recently purchased a Fram fuel filter for my daily driver (99 Blazer). I always thought that Fram was a good reputable American company. After I got the filter home I saw the dreaded words in fine print on the package: "Made in China"

    S197 rear quarter "dents"???

It might almost be worth it to get one of those paintless dent repair guys to take a look and see if he could get rid of them.

    Buying a Mustang in Iraq

I spoke to the AAFES reps when I was over there last time (March 05-March 06), both at the Camp Victory and Taji PX's. I was looking at a GT convertible, which at the time were still quite new. Neither AAFES rep ever mentioned the program that you discussed in your posting. I can tell you...

Finally got the 4.10s in the Grabber Orange GT

So, I just wanna know: WHO LET THE DAWGS OUT???     (couldn't help it, sorry)

    Who would of thought!!!!

On top of the better performance they get better gas mileage as well. My 07 GT is getting roughly the same MPG that the VW beetles of that same late 60s-early 70s vintage got!

    S197 rear quarter "dents"???

Mine has had them on both sides since it was new. They are barely noticeable and haven't gotten any worse over time. I just figured that they had something to do with the manufacturing process or the fact that it is a convertible.

Boot for convertible? Standard or an option?

I've had my car for over a year now and mine is still wrapped in the plastic from the factory. I'm not sure I'm ever going to use it and wish I hadn't wasted the $$ on it. One nice thing about the convertible tops on these cars is the manner in which the top folds down. When its down the...

    Woven Charcoal Instrument Panel Applique

I originally ordered my 07 with the satin, but went back to the dealer the following day and switched to the charcoal after taking a second look at it. When the car arrived I was glad I got the charcoal.

    An object of pity

I can relate brother. Twenty-nine years in the Corps and I've managed to steer clear of base housing for most of it because of the example you relate. My guess is that you've paid for the privilege of driving that car with any type of g-damned exhaust that you want on it in terms of deployed...

Mine are just plain black. I like yours with the blue oval better. It's a nice touch.
