    The kit has Kieth black Silvolite pistons. If it does intersect it is very minimal. I do so remember ,however that there were 3 oil control rings for added stability. I hope this answers your question. I could find the part #for the pistons. The kit was purchased and the engine was built 2 yrs ago.

    1st- like $50cobraII stated- check the heads, if not 69/70 with the bigger valves, forget it. 2nd Keep the valvetrain the same brand( ie: crane, comp, ford motorsport etc.) this means cam, rockers ,lifters,locks,etc. As far as a cam suggestion a 280 degree dur. with under 500" of lift is a fine...

    Just food for thought,but you mention the cast iron heads running cool and the aluminum heads running hot.Then you go on to say that there are pressures building within( hoses popping off) bad caps,etc.,etc.,etc.,. HOT temps and PRESSURE in the cooling system= warped heads and/or bad gasket...

    Definitely put a thermostat in, water needs time in the rad to cool. Especially in a less efficient top to bottom rad as apposed to a cross flow. Sounds as though you spent a couple of bucks on the engine , how bout' a few more on a temp gage? I would check the orientation of the head gaskets it...

    Got a new headliner for the cobra. Started installing it ,but I need help. What holds the headliner at the back towards the hatch,in the center??? I used 3m spray adhesive and tucked it into the hatch weatherstrip, but it did not hold. Am I missing something? (trim)
