Anyway, I called the dealer and made an appointment for Tuesday morning (that's the earliest I can get). The tech said that I can keep driving as long as the light doesn't start flashing...

    By CEL, I assume you mean "Check Engine Light." If so, I BELEIVE it does, but I'm not certain. I do remember seeing something to that effect in the manual.

    Sounds like great ideas....but: By offering the 5.4 in the base model you (playing the role of Ford) will hurt yourself in a few ways. 1. Base price will out of reach for many customers 2. By offering the same engine in the base model as the Mach/Boss, you are chipping away at your market...
