First time at the track with my '06

ScottM, Do you drive a manual? If so I was wondering at what rpm you try and launch. I am thinking of going to the track for the very first time and am clueless as to how to get the best launch.

    PypesOR H-Pipe

Thanks for the info. Do you suppose most muffler shops would just stock resonators? Or would that be limited to more of a performance shop item?

    PypesOR H-Pipe

That sounds exactly like what I need. What brand are those resonators and where did you get them. I've been doing some web searching and haven't found anything yet.

    Head rests

I have an 05 gt convert. and have never noticed anything remotely like what you are saying. I'd have to see it to believe it.

    22" on a 2005

I agree with everyone else. You are out of your mind. Please don't put 22's on a Mustang, you will embarass us all.

    PypesOR H-Pipe

Sounds great. Are resonators a bolt on item. I would imagine you have to cut out a section of pipe. And where to you get them. Also how do you get the video clips and pictures added on? It's really neat to be able to see what different guys are up to across the country with their Mustangs.

    Tune ?

I was running an 87 oct tune briefly before I had a chance to fill up will 93 and switch to that tune. I thought the difference between stock and the 87 tune was very noticable. More so than the difference between the 87 and 93 tune. With the price of gas I wouldn't blame you.

    PypesOR H-Pipe

What are resonators and how do they go on? Will it still sound the same while eliminating the trumpeting?

Exhaust systems, best one to boost horsepower

I would recommend the mufflers first. Some Flowmasters will make you car sound a little meaner plus the rolled tips look so much better than stock. After you drive around a while with the Flows it will help prepare you for the THUNDER of the O/R h-pipe. That is a lot bigger jump in decibles...

Best Place (cheapest) to get Pypes O/R X?

Got mine from brenspeed as well. Less than 200 bucks delivered.

    PypesOR H-Pipe

I notice it most when accelerating moderately through the gears. When stepping on it it's all loud anyway. I have flowmasters and a jlt 2 cai with a 93brenspeed tune. It did it before and after I installed the cai and the tune.

    PypesOR H-Pipe

281 ponies, I also just installed a pypes O/R h-pipe and am experiencing the exact same thing. I mean exact same thing. I love the overall sound but at 2500 it gets honkin' loud and sounds different, kind of raspy. I thought maybe I had something loose under the car but not the case. I know...

Ford Racing exhaust louder than stock?

Jack up the front(make sure you use jack stands) Un-bolt the stock and bolt on the new. No joke 30-45 min. You will need some long extensions to get to a couple of bolts though.

Ford Racing exhaust louder than stock?

Thats my combo and it sounds mean. Perhaps too loud for some. You will get noticed.

Flowmasters and X-pipe or stick with h-pipe?

I agree with bigcat. I just got done installing my pypes O/R h-pipe. The bolts are not that hard to get to. Like bigcat said all you need is a long extension for the top bolts. You can do it. And they sound great!
