    Tuning ???

a tune will make things right. real power, the kind that puts that smile on your face requires more mods than you have. Cams/heads or a supercharger will do this for you. If you go this route change the parts then get a professional tune. If you are done with mods do the tune now. My car...

Taking a Vortech blown stang on a 1300mi trip what should I know

all sounds like good advice to me. If the equipment is in good shape and the tune was verified you should have no problems. The car should drive like stock below 3000 RPM as said.

    Hood Latch Problem

I had to adj. the lock. just loosen the latch and rod that went down to the rad support, raise it a little and tighten. I had to push hood down(not recommended- bad for paint and sheet metal) now the drop method works.

    Fuel Injection Cleaning

I am sure he thinks so. It pays his bills and more. I don't think its neces. (unless you car is running bad) I just add some techtron every few months. I have never had inj. cleaned. I have never had a bad inj. I do change fuel filters at 30 tho of sooner if its a car I don't drive much/yr.

which of these 3 will be best

centrifical at 8lb max. it does not make boost at low RPM so you can go easy on the engine for daily driving. That is if you can stay out of the boost-no fun in that :rlaugh:

    Seafoam and SMOG

do the seafoam in your gas tank and another can through the PCV valve. as others have said. you can get it at NAPA. these engine do get a lot of carbon on the pistons, valves and manifold. seafoam will clean it. That carbon is like a sponge. It sucks up fuel and has a big effect on...

    Brake pad recommendations

ceramic pads are cleaner running but they are NOT better for stopping. HPS are good. If you want to stop sooner you need a brake upgrade. cobra front 13" setup and a good set of rear pads with surfaced or new rotors would be a big improvement. this setup is still well balanced without...

    Pypes

Mil eliminators are not required but sometimes you may get a MIL light. most people install the MIL to eliminate this nussance. (MI elim. on rear o2's only) I think the person that had problems with the pypes brand exh. had other issues with their car, the damaged cats were a result of this.

    heads & cams

I bought a used vortech-s with anderson pipe 70mm TB, t-rex and FMU for $1950 easy install, made good power. maybe 310 at motor with x-pipe and PI manifold-(standard vortech setup 6lb max. was lean at more boost). I revised setup with in-tank pump and 30lb inj. and 80mm MAF and now at...

cant decide on wich springs. steeda or eibach

I installed the entire Eibach pro-kit, thats springs and matching struts. this gave a 1-1/2" drop on the 98'. ride quality is good but stiff. I used the cam bolt on the strut with stock caster/camber plate. this gave good alignment and less noise than a cc plate. I also installed and...

    My 1st dyno run?

12.8 to 13 in good. 12.8 is conservative, 13-1 is still safe but might get a little more HP. at 260hp level the diff. is minimal. a good tuner will try both and set it based on the best results.

What all parts are needed for PI intake swap?

on my 98GT I did not need the nipple. just 2-o-rings. Don't forget the web site for picks and instruction. www.unitedmajority.com there is a pic of the sensor tap with details on where to buy it. I have not tapped a plastic crossover, this does sound risky. You could probably find a...

    My 1st dyno run?

with the added air in and out the computer can not support the best fuel curve at WOT. Have it tuned and adjusted to average 13.1. The power level looks good (about 293hp at the crank)

Procharger - Anyone running one on 96-98 car?

"98Gt" what was your rwhp with the vortech? I just had my 98Gt done yesterday at La Roccos with a s-trim vortech, 320rwhp with 3.90diff I though this was great for my setup.
