Where is the ECT sensor located at on a '92 2.3?

It's the sensor in one of the hoses that goes into the heater core. Right next to the firewall, you can't miss it. Brian

Alive for so short a time...then shattered :(

Thanks guys. Ouch Glow - yours makes mine look decent. The door and rocker are untouched, luckily. Plus I'm okay with driving around with patches of primer for a while, I was planning on it anyway since the car needed quite a bit of bodywork before the accident. Yours looks like it was fixed...

Alive for so short a time...then shattered :(

The quoted post is copied/pasted from a recent "what do you drive" thread on Glocktalk. This is what it looks like after a maroon S10 4x4 rear-ended me as I was stopping for a yellow light this afternoon. I got shoved all the way into the middle of the intersection, and watched dazedly as...

    I'm back, and turbo'd!

Meh, it's not that big a deal. I didn't even cut down my stock upper rad hose to fit the Exploder radiator, so it's a little bulgier than it could be. Contact is pretty minimal. Brian

    mods

Forget about the 5.0 header nonsense, just run a Y-pipe after your stock cats (or replace stock cats) with two mufflers of your choice and LX tailpipes. I did mine a couple years ago for $185, including parts and labor. 5.0 master cylinder is the same as the 4-cyl., no need to change...

    Final brake ideas.

FYI all the spindles are the same between V6/GT/Cobra. What's your rear setup gonna be? Brian

Baer Breaks? vs. Wilwood? vs. Stock Ford Disks?

Brakes, not breaks. Stock 13" Cobra brakes are functionally identical to the 13" Baer kit. Depends on if you want the "Baer" name and are willing to spend hundreds extra for it. Brian

Running ignition wires for turboswap directly to Comp. insteadof using factory wiring

I twisted/soldered all the red/green wires together when I removed the coil pack plugs and wiring. No ignition problems yet. :nice: I have like three DP/DIS ignition harnesses lying around; I was collecting them for a while in case I screwed something up on my main one. PM me if you want one...

    I'm back, and turbo'd!

Ya like it? I got it from some dude in Kansas. BTW it looks sweet in "crushed silver" powdercoat. :nice: See if you can have your benders put the tube seam on the underside when they bend the tubing in the future - it'll look a lot better. :) I hope so, but my buddies were talking about...

    I'm back, and turbo'd!

Hey y'all, it's been a while since I've been on SN. School and work and the car and way too many other boards, etc. Anyway, I finally got my car turboswapped. Went from this: To this: ...over Thanksgiving break plus a couple days. Nothing went catastropically wrong, and once I get...

    improving handling

Yeah, they get pretty low. I've got them and my car is slammed. Assuming I ever get money, I'd like to get H&R's to go with my Bilsteins. Brian

    The progress of my Turbostang...

Lol my car is gonna look like that when I get around to doing bodywork. I need a new hood, new driver's side fender, both bumper covers, spoiler and maybe hatch, etc etc. I gotta make it fast first, though, before it looks like a complete POS, which is what you seem to be doing too. :) Brian

how much can a 5speed handle

Keep in mind that the average 2.3T isn't going to be exerting massive torque until higher in the RPM range. The instant torque off the line that a V8 makes is what breaks parts, like trannies and rears. Brian
