    Back to handling in the snow. I think it is important to drive these things in the winter so SUV drivers understand how we feel the other 355 days of the year when we are stuck behind them.

    I ran Dunlop Winter Sports on 98 Cobra wheels (1" narrower), put 160 lbs of salt in the trunk, and could have plowed snow with it. No problem throughout the Chicago winter.

    03 cobra rev limiter

    So . . . please tell me how to kill, or reverse function, the dreaded trac control. Each time I forget to punch that button (which is rare) I find myself totally embarassed. The override is so intrusive it looks like you can't drive stick.

    Thanks for the info. I have pretty much learned to drive to avoid the clank, but would have expected more refinement from such a nice car.

    Low RPM, any gear, if I go on and off throttle the clanging in the drive train sounds like bad u-joints on a '64 rambler. Makes it very difficult to heal/toe without clanking. Had a '98 cobra and several mustangs prior with nothing like this happening. Sounds like occuring in clutch/plate area...
