    The word out is that the 300HP quoted by Ford is understated for several reasons. FMC has had past problems with vehicles that were under the stated HP rating. Also, for insurance purposes the 05 stang is being underrated. The actual output will be 320 - 330 HP.

    The Redfire color is the same as the 04 Redfire. In fact, I just saw one of the pre-production 04 GT's yesterday in Hackensack, NJ -- in of all things, Redfire with the red leather interior upgrade. Now I'm certain that I made the right choice!

    05 GT performance times

    Horsepower Ratings Just talked to the dealership owner where I ordered my 05 Stang GT today. He states that the 300 HP is conservative and is for publication and insurance purposes only. The motor is actually stonger than 300 HP.
