    Classic Mustang Value

Throw in the rebuild and keep the old engine in case you want/need to see it. You can always throw in the old motor in the sale or sell it as an extra with the 289 still in the car.

    Removing vinyl top

I took the top off my 68 coupe and the metal was all sorts of warped. It seemed as though when the car was being built, there was not much concern for the smoothness of the roof as it would be covered with vinyl. It will take a lot of filler to make it smooth.

    Feelin' the Heat!

Why do you want to trap heat in there? You want it out. Cool air is good for the engine. Where do you see heat?

Check this part out on your classic before this happens

Been there done that with the wife in the car driving down main street. Came to a light 200 feet ahead and the pedal dropped to the floor. Wife and I opened our doors and tried "Fred Flintstoning" the car to a stop while drive up on the landscaped center median to get it to stop. Had to avoid...

Backspacing (talk to me dodgestang :)

That makes sense looking at this car, however IIRC they do not have those same wheels in chrome in those sizes correct?

Backspacing (talk to me dodgestang :)

Hold a sec. You're telling me this thread is in regard to a late model??? I got excited that the Cobra R's in Chrome where made in a width to fit in a classic ('68), then you show me a picture of a white late model. I think I'm going to cry.

Backspacing (talk to me dodgestang :)

Would love to see pics of your buddies car with those wheels on! I looked into these same wheels about two years ago and from what I remember, they didn't sell the 17" rims in 8" width in CHROME. They had 9.5" though. Are you looking to get aluminum or other in this size? I'm curious as those...

Stopping serpentine belt squall with March A/C eliminator bracket

Not bad. I will include a photo of mine to show the comparison. I think I just need to take this winter and try and buy "the correct" set up. I fabbed aluminum spaces, used washers, ground down the water pump pulley. It looks a mess but works.
