    Winter

My car has never seen time in a garage and has seen many winters and some of them harsh and still looks great and the paint is still shiney. Just make sure that you wax it real good before the snow and weather hits and keep it clean when it does.

    Got a new daily driver!

5.9L with part time 4x4. Got told by a lot of people that I was going to hate the mileage with the 360 and while it's not as good as the mustang on the highway with the mods and keeping my foot out of it I get around 18-19mpg on the highway on a regular basis.

    Got a new daily driver!

After 10 years of faithful service the mustang has been retired from it's daily driver status. I got a 99 durango to replace it since I needed something a little bigger and 4x4 as well to get around in the winters we have here in the mountains. It was a one owner and is in great shape and like...

    New Engine Combo

Well with it being a 302 I would go with the AFR165's, and the performer rpm intake and a little smaller cam. That stuff you listed is more for a 351 or 408 and will kill your torque off the spray and the smaller stuff will still keep your torque on the motor and flow good enough to make good...

    front stabilizer bar

I would always disconnect mine before going to the track to get better front end lift and it would usually pull the left front tire pretty good with it loose. Never took it off cause the car was my daily driver and that extra 20lbs is not going to make a difference in a car that weighs 3500lbs...

    no spark

Ignition module. It's in a heat sink under the air box and you will need a special tool to remove it. Take it to most parts stores and they can test it for you. If it tests good then look towards the internals of the dist they may be causing problems. My stock one locked up at 80K miles.

Why is my combo so slow...

Well first I think your cam is just a litte too large for the other mods you have. I am not a big fan of large cams at all and the f-cam is rather big. Second when you get into modifying changing one thing usually leads to ten. You need a adj fuel pressure regulator and a good liquid filled...

    questions on this combo..

I would probably go with the trick flow stuff. It is a matched system and will flow better than the ford stuff.

    Motor arrived (PICS).

You are smart in taking your time. I took an entire summer to build my 306 and get it slid into the car. I started building it when I got out for summer break and it was back in the car and running a week before the fall semester started. It's better to check and re-check and then check it...

    Motor arrived (PICS).

Looks awesome! So what kind of power adder you going to throw at this one?

    Knocking sound...not detonation!?!?!

Chances are if you lost oil pressure and drove for any amount of time then the damage is already done. If it is a constant noise then I would venture to say you have killed a main or rod bearing.

    H-pipe A.I.R. tube...

Cut the pipe and then use a good piece of heater hose to connect the two. My bbk h-pipe actually came with a piece of heater hose and two clamps with the instructions to cut the pipe and use that to connect the two. I ran it for years before I just took the smog off the call all together.

    Pics of Members/family/pets/etc. (56k warning!!!)

    exhaust questions

You guys are going to think I am crazy but when you are dealing with anything rubber on a car that has to slide into place or out of place forget using the penetrating lubes and stick to plain ole KY jelly. Learned this from a friends dad who races NHRA and it works on everything rubber and is...

    a couple questions

Ok first off I would do a compression check and see what it looks like before you think about adding a power adder. If all the numbers look good then I say go for it. Just keep the shot down and make sure you don't detonate. A colder spark plug with a tighter gap is also cheap insurance as...

    Exhaust Q's

The cat-back that you have will work just fine with it. The h-pipe will not work without some modifications, and you can put the motor back in with them attached, well at least I did when I put my new motor in. I am not sure about a stock h-pipe but I cut and modified my bbk off road h-pipe to...

    Air Bag Delete

Dont take the bulb out. Trust me the car is smarter than you think it is. Take the cluster out and put a small piece of black tape on the back side of the gauge face. If you take the bulb out of the car then every few minutes the car is going to beep at you letting you know that the air bag...

First Cam Swap Tomorrow Any tips

First are you comfortable with being able to remove the dist and get it back in correctly? I think that is the biggest fear I have noticed people talking about when doing any major engine work. I would also make sure that you have everything you need there when it comes to gaskets, etc. I...
