    Isn't this something to do with high sulphur gas? Check out the Corvette forums as they have similar problems. Using different gas and slinging something in the tank can help unstick the float or something like that.

    The smell is sulphur and is a result of the catalytic convertor and the sulphur content in the petrol. Try switching to a low sulphur gas.

    The only other smells I get are the faintly fishy smell of rubber off the tyres and have you considered it might be a touch of the smell off the catalyst - sulphur i believe. Possibly using a low sulphur gas would help.

    If it's a metal to metal, you should use something like WD40 but for rubber squeaks, use silicon spray which is also useful for window channels.

    Have you changed the LCAs. if so, they may not be tight enough but a spray of the bushes either end with silicon spray may help.
