Ok, motor and tranny are in the car. Had to buy another 3/8" spacer and then cut it down to a 1/4" (double stack. put it above my one inch spacer) so that the upper intake could be put on and clear the valve covers. Upper is on just for mock-up at this point. Won't be long now guys.
Heck yeah I miss the Cobra, but Im having a blast working on the car w/friends and my son. That's what I missed the most,,wrenching. The Cobra was complete, all I had to do was put gas in it and keep it clean,,,,to boring for me.
Came w/the car. From what I hear it was homemade. To be honest w/ya, it didn't work worth a ****it,,even w/the AC it didn't move much air. I went back to normal AC vants and moved my gauges up top.
TTYTT,,if I had to do it all over again,,I would've gone the Florida 50 route and put them all in the cluster instead of the place I put em. Not because I don't like where they are, but for the ease of installation.:nice:
Just for ****s n giggles: The tach and oil press. gauge came from Kenny Schraders race car when he drove for Hendrick. (that is circa 1988 folks) Motor should be back in the car by the end of Jan,,running by mid Feb.
Engine bay painted w/shaker can of white spray paint then a couple coats of clear.
When I had five weeks off for the birth of my daughter I accomplished all of what you see besides the steering rack and tail lights. Let me find the pics of the gauges that I put in it. Thanks for all the comments.
Now, I bought the Holley stuff used and did not know that Holley reccomends a certain type valve cover. Well, I bought the FR tall ones and I now have this little problem to deal with:
