    Got it today!

I'm not really sure about alot of things just yet. The guy I bought it from got this far and lost his job, so he had to abort. He thought the combination was good for about 650 hp or so. There are many things left to do before I can drive it. First, I gotta' address the cooling system - it...

    Got it today!

Was delivered today. Needs a few things here and there as the motor was just put together prior to my buying it. I'm off next week so I can address the cooling system, ignition, and a few wiring issues then it's off to be tuned. Overall, it's built extremely well. A few things that weren't...

New Supercharger installed! Need some advice on gears...

Why don't you get the vehicle tuned first then drive it and see what you think? 4.10s aren't all that steep in our cars because we have a super-duper overdrive. Sure, 4.10s wouldn't be my first choice for a positive displacement blower, but you've already got them. I guess it all depends what...

    Yeah, another LT question.

You had access to a lift, a full arsenal of tools, dropped the k-member, and still had all those problems? And to think I flat-backed my bassani mid-lengths in my garage on jackstands, didn't drop the k-member, did the install in about 10 hours, it all fit perfectly, and my car went 4 tenths...

Info needed on tapping oil pan...

Several months ago, I saw advertised in one of the Mustang Mags new products section, some kind of threaded insert designed for just such an application. They claimed you didn't have to punch / drill a hole in the pan. I remember thinking to my self . . . "self, how the heck is that possible?"...

HELP!!! Got a clunk in the rear

Clunking noises from under our 'stangs is pretty normal . . . but, it's certainly possible that something isn't right. Have you considered the possibility that you may have damaged a torque box? Did you run over something? I'd get under it again and give the suspension a really good look.

Help! Cant get fluid back in rear end!?!?

Don't forget your friction modifier - you can buy this at any Ford dealer for about $10. You'll need to add one bottle to the diff, otherwise your limited slip rear end may not work correctly. BTW, this stuff smells really good . . .

    Experts on SLICKS come IN!

Watch them 5 k launches . . . I noticed you got the internals upgraded, but I wouldn't even think of doing that on slicks without the axle tubes and torque boxes welded. Cheap insurance to prevent major heartache . . .

    Question for SVTtech

No, I'm not. But the belt only has about 5,000 miles on it. I'll look into both suggestions in the morning. Thanks!

    Question for SVTtech

How can I tell if the tensioner on my GT needs to be replaced? At WOT, I'm getting a sound from the front of the motor that sounds a little like detonation (obviously, this is a possibility as well), as well as some popping and clunking when driving at slow speeds and in and out of the throttle...

    Accepting a counter offer...

Assuming the counter - offer from your current employer is competitive, consider the following benefits of staying: 1. You have almost four years history with them - this is a very attractive thing for lenders, as they like to see consistency. Decide to buy a new house, and this could be a...

    Chemically Cooled?

Really? I put my snow boost cooler on before the supercharger (I live in Arizona too). Immediately thereafter, my car ran so much more consistently. It felt more powerful, so I took it to the track to find out and blew up the clutch. Now that I'm blown, the boost cooler was just one more...

Ignition Options? Searched long and hard...

Interestingly enough, it would appear that the Plasma Booster for coil on plug applications no longer appears on their website . . . I wonder why. If you'd like to know more about this product, then do a search for "Plasma Booster" on the forum - you'll find about a thousand threads in regards...

Ignition Options? Searched long and hard...

I thought MSD made a "stacker" capacitive discharge unit that is designed to connect to the coil packs, but can't find evidence of that on their website. Ignition Solutions offers the highly controversial Plasma Booster . . . http://www.ignitionsolutions.com/productsBooster.asp

Broke rear end? Weird shift under torque. Please help

Most guys don't use the reinforcement kits. I had a local shop seam weld all four torque boxes and axle tubes for $250 - but, I did this BEFORE I damaged one of them. Depending on how badly yours is damaged, you may need some extra stuff. Regardless, you'll need to pull your rear seat bottom...
