    I have read articles on replacing, http://www.mustangandfords.com/howto/19998/ my question is why drill out all thise spot welds, why not just cut it out along the seam and weld the new one in place. If the old towers 1/16" thick lip is to big a deal, chisel it off. Just thinking. :)

    I guess I should have taken a picture of the other side. The nut is off and it has a similar disc/washer/(weight?) over the threaded side that I cant slide off and I cant unscrew because of the lips on the plate either side of it. Its like the cam eccentric, ya know the hole isnt in the...

    Shock Tower Cracked - Need Opinions

    So, what have you decided? I am replacing mine and wanted somebody to share the pain. Seriously, that looks like an easy weld up job at least compared to my 'crushed coke can' towers. anybody actually replace one? I got the air chisel going today, that thing is cool! No turning back now. :nice:

    confirmed 2 bolt, apparently 4 bolts were on CJs only? I guess with the above exceptions... Well, thats good news anyhow, no? Now to figure out how to transport. Oh, I think Im going to stick with the C4 until I can get a T-5 ready, and add a hood and a door instead of the FMX. Ill let you...

    Its gonna be mainly a daily driver. Im in Texas so there is lots of space if I get that itch. Should I get different motor mounts? The shock towers are getting ready to be replaced so I could get the diff ones now if I need them. God this is fun, I love this hobby/lifestyle!

    Thanks for the relpy. I only asked about half those questions! So it is a 2v, all stock except for a Isky model CL 43262 cam. Reg flow oil pump in the box. Not sure abou the 2 vs. 4 bolts yet. Does that refer to bolts on the motor mounts? And he said he will include an FMX with it...

    Got offered a rebuilt 351C for $1300. said complete from top to bottom. I asked what year it came out of and what upgrades it has. what other questions should I ask? Its for a 70 f code with a C-4. Is that even compatible? Price seem ok? Thanks guys! :nice:

    Apron Rust issues, advice?

    Thanks, someone told me that if the po or factory or whoever used lead as like a ''glue" between those overlapped pieces it could cause 'dissimilar metal corrosion' or something like that. Should there be any glue or weld the edges together or just bolt the pieces on and go? Now to find a donor...

    engine casting numbers

    I had a related question, I got my heads off today and the heads have 302 stamped on them, but the block under the manifold says 289. Whats up with that?? I have the build sheet but its REAL hard to make out, faded and such. I was just wondering what the engine actually is??

    Help pulling engine.

    thanks guys, I didnt think it would be anything complicated, but I wanted to make sure there wasnt something weird to do first (press gas, put in neutral, whatever.) I tried the screwdriver but, it would budge. It twisted a little, so Ill revisit that. Thank again!
