OT: Any Math people in here?

Peaked my interest then realized I'm too old. I'd just math it out and not reduce. I do remember taking out the numbers if divisible. 2a(sq)m-8b(sq)m/ax+2bx then you can remove like symbols but I don't remember how they have to coincide. I think they have to be through the whole...

    Classic Insurance question

Hagerty here also. About 2 months ago. Simple. Filled out app., emailed 4 pics, told them how much I wanted to insure the car for (no appraisal) and it's done. Once they got the info (app and pics) I had faxed ins. card within 30 minutes. They don't want you using it as a daily driver but...

    some info please...

Hotrod, the one in the stickies by discbrakeswap.com is a great bargain. That's where I got my kit...before the sale. It is complete and he is very helpful with any questions. He also responds very fast to emails. A lot less than SSBC also. I highly recommend. :nice: :nice: :nice:

Who here has done thier upper ball joints?

That sucks. I thought '65 and '66 were the same. I have a '65 and the uppers just unbolt. The lowers are riveted in where you replace the whole lower control arm but the uppers just bolt in. Learn something new everyday!

    Brake problems

Don't see what kind of car you have. I have a '65 and the hard line connects to the rubber line in the tunnel pretty much below the rear seat. It's something you'll have to jack the rear of the car up to get to. Not sure if this helps. d

    shifter question

Thanks. I wasn't sure if the shifter bracket just slid off w/o something internal coming loose or not. D

    shifter question

Thanks Tim65GT. How hard is it to install the switch with the tranny in the car? I know I'll have to take something loose at the tranny to install it and want to make sure I don't screw something up inside. What is involved? Also, if it is a real PIA, would I be better to go aftermarket with...

    shifter question

Hey guys. I have a '65 with c4 and no neutral safety. 2 questions. 1-My shifter is a little sloppy and I thought of replacing bushings and adding a neutral safety switch. How hard is it to add the switch with tranny staying in car and together? 2-If I were to change shifters, say to a B&M...

    Exort Brace install

If you leave them on the bolt holes make excellent locations for zip-tying wires. This way you can run loomed wires under the export brace and keep 'em hidden. Cleans up pretty nice.

Note to self... make brake lines before engine install.

:bang: +1 I'm in the same situation myself right now:bang:

Project ideas. New to the classics!!!!

Thumbs up Scott. Keep the level head. Like Zoo said, Ebay will give you an idea. It is not the bargain palace it used to be. You'll probably have better overall luck finding the 65-66 coupe. I like 'em...it's what I got. Good luck out there and use these guys.

    NEW Hedman Elite headers, ceramic coated, 260 289 302 351W, #88308

Just wanted to chime in. Anyone looking for a set...these are nice. Easy fit on the sb...especially if running a c4. Reen is right, $265 is the cheapest. Just to let you know bad68coupe, I have mine on a '65 coupe that is not lowered. I have about 4-4.5" of clearance. You can see a pic in...

Project ideas. New to the classics!!!!

Sounds like you're already on your way. There is a ton of info on the 351W swap into these cars. I've read about all of it. I was thinking of doing this before I rebuilt the 289. I would read all of it and know what you're wanting to do to the rest of the car. There are a few clearance...

    Long tubes vs. Tri-y's???'s

I can't answer your tech questions but I'll throw in my $0.02. I was considering tri-y headers when finished my 289 build. However, I decided to go with the Hedman Elite nickel coated longs. I can send the part #. I don't know what kind of tranny you're running as there may be an issue with...

    Fuel Line.............

Can you do this at the carb fiting or do you have to do it before the fuel line meets the pump ? Good question, not really sure why you would need to do this though. Missed the point, didn't you? Guess I did...wErD. Hey, I'm gettin' old. Good luck on the midterms.

Anyone in NC have any parts cars?

'76 Check with C&S Automotive in Winston Salem. Yahoo or Google the name or pm me and I'll give you the number. It's a stanger's dream. Most of what I saw when I was there was '60's stangs, don't remember any IIs but this guy would definitely be a source for 'ya. Duane

    Fuel Line.............

There is no "shooting down" when it comes to troubleshooting/brainstorming. I like to see someone using their head. In my experience (not saying it can't be done) it would be very hard to get the fuel pump in wrong. From what I've encountered, when it won't "fit" you just turn the crank...

    Not a worthless thread anymore!!!

Man, what a breath of fresh air to see some of the "younger generation" taking care of the cars. Thumbs up Stang! I bought mine when I was 16. Had a car as a dd my parents kept for me and 4 months after I turned 16 I looked at my dad one night and said, "Dad, I want a new car". Of course I...
