    :stupid: I sanded mine down and painted them, and they come out just like he says. The revets shouldn't rust, as they are aluminum. All you do is take that one screw out, pull back, and lift if off. Very easy.

    Best thing to do is jack up the drivers side front of the car, where the rad cap is... This makes it much higher then then rest of the system, and all the air will burp out much easier. Try it out. :nice: Good luck bud.

    How about just wash it and use a buffer to get the stratches out. Some of the fading can go away after some good wax and a good buffer is used.

    If you have smoke coming out of the dip stick tube, you've got blow by. That's not burning oil. If it was "burning oil" you'd get blue smoke out the tail pipes, not out of the dipstick. Sounds to me like you got some smokin' rings. 1000 miles or not, it was either not built right, or not...

    Hey! Check it out! I had the exact same thing happen to me! My cause was the cam bolt came loose, which I havent' a clue why, but oh well.... I'm sure your crank will look much like this. The block, pistons, rods, and everything else didn't fair too well either.
