Pics from install of JBA Headers and MRT H-pipe (lots of pics)

NasaGT, thats for the pictures. I may go with this setup in the future. Any SOTP difference. Will you be doing a dyno run. If so, lets start placing bets. My guess is a extra 15rwhp and 16rwtrq.

    M-112 on a 94 4.6L

The M112 blower will fit on this car and I've seen a few of them. However, you need to look at the Ford Motorsport Catalogue for the correct application. The FMS M112 is a non-intercooled or aftercooled roots blower that runs a 6psi. It can be upgraded to 9psi but with no internal cooling...

Why is my car so slow?!!

You need a headswap. No Flames please, its just a reality in your car. After a certain rpm, a 96-98GT flat falls on its face. The 3.73's will only help so much. Its all due to the narrow powerband of that engine. A shift kit, or Jerry Mod and a torque converter would help in a big way...

    Any free mods

Besides whats listed in this thread so far, there's not alot of free mods. Making the car lighter is probably the best or easist. However, someone metioned looking for used bargain basement aftermarket mods. For anyone on a strict budget, this is the best way to go.

How restrictive are stock headers on 01GT?

In a article published by Hot Rod Magazine, they got 9rwhp and an equal anount of torque thorughout the rev range. Long tubes make more power in every test I've ever seen. I talked to the guys at SHM and they told me that Ford Motorsport shorties gave them an extra 5rwhp over the stock...

    Tuned KB - New #'s!!!

Hey guys: My question is based on different responses that I've read about supercharging. Will the stock crank hold that kind of power? I have read that its the revs that will break the stock crank. I know that the pistons and rods may eventually break but everone seems to mention that a...

    Pics of 18x10.5 Bullitt wheels.....

I agree with you on this one. In my opinion, the Bullit rims give a Mustang the authentic look of a Mustang. A wider set of these rims is icing on the cake.

First mods on a bone stock GT

I agree 100%. This way you start off 35hp ahead of the 96-98 GT's. Then gears, Steeda UD Pullies and a T/A, C&L intake and a K&N filter, exhaust, some LCA's and your running low 13's. In the end the decision is yours.

Mach 1 and my GT raced at the track

Yea those Mach 1's are fast. I saw one at the track with very little mods and it ran 13.1 @ 106.5mph. With a few mods, they're 12 second cars for sure. The funny thing was the Mach was faster than ALL the LS1's including the Vettes. The fastest LS1 ran 13.3 and the Vette did no better.

How many cubes can you get from a 4.6 and 5.4?

I believe a 4.6 can be bored and stroked to 5.1 litres. The 5.4L engine can be bored and stroked to 5.9 or even 6.0 litres. Liveronis Motorsport has a 5.9 Litre in the works. The 2v or 4v does not make a difference in terms of boring or stroking a engine. However a stroker 5.4 with 32 valves...

New thicker oil = bad gas milage?

Hey everyone: I recently switched from Ford 5W-20 to Castrol Syntec 0W-30 and I also switched my K&N filter for the stock filter. Here's the problem: My Stang is now making TERRIBLE gas milage. Around 60 miles per tank less. The oil is noticable thicker than the Ford oil (did the OC...

    Are shorty headers worth anything?

There was a article in Hot Rod Magazine were they tested a Bullit Stang with JBA Headers and the increase was around 9rwhp across the board. They also said their was a diffinate hp increase with the SOTP testing. If I remember correctly, JBA invented the "shorty" header.

    Torque Converters???

The Stallion is for Stangs and the Vigilante is for GM's Camaro and Trans Am.

Which mods don't kill your car?

Heres some good advice: Go to a few local Mustang Shops and ask them what dealers to go to for warranty work. Alot of Ford mechanics will do mods-on-the-side for extra cash and also they tend not to void the warranty because of a few bolt-on parts. Also, look at dealerships that sell...

    mach 1 vs 00 gt

Last time at the track, I saw a Mach1 run 13.1 @ 106mph bone stock. A couple a basic mods and its a legitimate 12 second car. In fact, he was faster than ALL the LS1's at the track that day. They're quick, thats for sure.

    GT vs Cobra vs WS6

Call your insurance company for a final decision!! I called in regards to a LS1 Camaro and the rates were insane compared to a Mustang. In my opinion, the Mustang is much much better for day to day living. The Mach 1 is even more comfortable. Last time at the track, a completely stock...

cd player won't play burned songs past song 11

Thats strange? I have a 2000GT and it plays burned songs all the way to 22. I burn them at 4x's if that make sense. My brother recommended that.
