305 or 335 Nitto drag radials?

no such thing as "mustang tires" or "camaro tires". tires are just tires. and as for the Sumitomos, ive never owned a pair, but a couple buddies have, and they say they hook ok for the first 3k miles or so, then the tire just sucks all around. bad traction, bad wear, noisy. plus, sumitomos...

305 or 335 Nitto drag radials?

if you go that big on a 9" wheel, you can say goodbye to handling. sidewall flex will be crazy. one of the best suspension mods i did was go from a 8" wheel to a 9" wheel with 275 tires. plus, a nice set of 275s will hook as good as a cheap set of 305s. quality, not quantity.

    squeeky front?

the vibration is a front tire balancing issue. have them balanced for $50. the squeak is strange though. ive got what i think is the same squeak by the way you described it. i thought it was the rack bushings, but after new MM aluminum bushings, the squeak/clank almost seemed to get worse...

    Un-intelligent Wal Mart employees

im with ya Mike. A technician is a trade. it takes skills. any highschool monkey can change tires all day. and to the original poster, who the hell cares if he didnt knw it was a GT?? did you spend all that money to make other people say "wow, he drives a V8", or did you spend it so you...

    HID conversions

bad is a relative word. i really like my HID setup. its just the "drop in" 6k kit. yeah, it doesnt have the cool cutoff line like the factory systems, and i dont have highs, but i really like the brightness and spread of mine. 10x better than stock. im amazed every time i get in another car...

    anybody else have this problem.

im gonna guess that he was in one of the two left lanes. all he had to do was pull over to another lane right of him and let the tailgater pass. everytime i get someone behind me, i quickly get over into the right lane. an guess what? ive never had anyone tailgating me for "no reason"...

    Hello traction!

nice parts Cody! btw, LCAs are your friend! and as a side note, beware when you first put those SFCs on. when you fishtail, the car will whip back around straight MUCH quicker and easier than before. i over compensated WAAAAY too much the first time i fishtailed w/ my subs.

    How to change brake pads

not the brightest crayon in the box huh? lol j/k. ive done some pretty dumb things before too. yeah, it may be a seized piston, or, if im not mistaken, i think i remember the 94-98s having slide pins in the caliper. if so, the lube may have dried up and the pin isnt sliding back and forth...

    How to change brake pads

honestly, a brake job is one of the easiest things to do on a car if you know what youre doing. Mike, i definitly feel your pain with a whole rust belt thing. im sure it sucks. ive had a few cars in my bay from up north, and i wanted to just go home halfway through working on them. what...

    please help.

usually a misfire will set the MIL. im thinking it sounds like a bad exhaust leak. i think you said you were up north? might wanna check to see if anything is rusted through in the exhaust system.

    anybody else have this problem.

pardon my french, but you sir, are an idiot. its people like you on the road that cause road rage. if someone wants you to get out of their way, GET OUT THA WAY! unless you dont have anywhere to go of course. you dont know what's going on in the car next to you. maybe the driver just got a...

Need help...fuel tank pressure sensor circuit low

im guessing you dont have an extensive amount of diagnostic experience or tools, so i would start throwing parts at it, unless you want to pay big $$ for a diag at the dealer (we charge a MINIMUM of $100). i would start with a new fuel cap, clear the code, and go from there. if that doesnt fix...

    MUST READ: Break-In Secrets

thank you Brian. i feel like im the only person here who finds that write-up quite biased. running an engine too hard, too soon will cause the rings to expand too much with all the heat, and wont allow the cylinder walls to be smoothly worn down, which might lead to a piston siezing up

    FRPP Gear Break in?

a direct quote from the article: he's refering to the fact that higher temps cause metal to expand, the temp having a direct correlation to the expansion, thus he's saying that you need to heat up the rings quickly so as to scrape off the "roughness" of the cylinder walls. heres the problem...

    FRPP Gear Break in?

a new car is supposed to be broken in when it's bought. that includes all necessary components; tranny, engine, and rear end no, its a myth. dont get the word out, it will only ignite the ignorant masses. im guessing not a lot did, which isnt smart. machines with close tolerances and...
