    oh boy, you guys are gonna make me get up on my soap box. there is a definite break in period for gears, as there is for any new piece of machinery or assembly where metal contacts metal. when the gears are first mated together, there will be metal shavings caused from the gears rubbing...

    i didnt rotate the shaft while the lower bolt was out. all i did was pull the shaft up and away from the rack and let it hang. thats why im so perplexed as to how the wheel could be so crooked. its a good 20* off

    Installing LCAs. Any other minor mods I might want to do while I'm in there?

    QFMFT also, when you install the LCAs, BE SURE you leave the rear bolts loose on the control arms until you set the car on the ground, then tighten them, or else the control arms will bind. i learned that the hard way. oh, and be generous with the grease.

    i just installed a set of MM Aluminum rack bushings (nice difference BTW) and now the steering wheel is crooked. it's either the rack that i need to re-align, or it could be the steering linkage, since i had to remove the bolt that holds the shaft to the rack. does anyone have any experiance...

    99-04 specs.

    ive noticed that the 99-00 and 01 w/ the T-45 run a bit faster than 3650 GTs. i think its the tranny ratios. we tach about 400 rpms more at a given speed, thus little bolt-ons like gears help a lot more. i ran a 13.72 @ 101 w/ 4.10s and an o/r X pipe.

    the ticking noise is an exhaust leak for sure. youre asking us to diagnose where it is w/o seeing it or hearing it. that would be like having a misfire in the engine and asking us online which cylinder it was. better go back and double check everything

    well, i ran a 13.7 @ 101 w/ a 2.0 60ft w/ 4.10s and o/r X on Kuhmos. but then again, im an amazing driver :rolleyes: if you have any skill at all, i would expect around the same time, although that DR size worries me, being that it will severely mess up your final drive ratio.

    sounds good on paper, but i think there are too many bugs to be worked out, as many have brought up. Toyota really has the right idea with their Hybrid cars. the brakes on those things really are amazing (as far as the design, not so much performance), and only need some further modification...
