    FWIW 4.10's + 28" tire+ 1.00 ratio third gear + 6250 RPM = 128mph (assuming 100% lock & no slip) Where ever your slipping here it at about a 33-34% rate.

    Like 89 said gearing/rpm tire size & speed of the car does 6250 equal... unless you are loosing alot of RPM somewhere. Plus your running a 2 inch taller tire than he to into acct for. Something seems wrong to me.

    Personally I love the OEM cables REALLY smooth compared to aftermarket cables. I've used 3 diffrent aftermarket cables & one OEM. The OEM is what is in the car now & it feels SO much better

    Pull it & get some graphite lube & get it lubed up. Make sure it's not making any sharp turns or getting pinched by anything . That & make sure your TO bearing is sufficently lubricated.

    No there is a rubber ring that seperates the Balancer hub from the outer ring. Time /RPM/ horsepower make it deteriorate & slip over time. Mine seems to go through balancers once every 3 years or so (using stock replacements). Replace it. Not only could the outer ring seperate & kill someone...

    Depends on how "Street" your talking. I'd suggest the Performer since the ports are better aligned with the AFR's. Aside from that the cam thing kinda falls on you as to ... what do you want it to run.

    GT-40's are good heads as are the Edelbrocks...personally I'd rather wait & get the Edelbrocks. Both heads can get you into the 11's with the right parts but the wieght savings & the amount of further potential out weighs the need for "instant" gratification. Mike

    I'm inclined to agree but it seems there are only 2 spots I "see" mustangers in my area on line... even then most of the guys that I know that are local I see them on all the boards. Alot of the more local guys I know also stopped posting for what ever reason.:shrug:

    Ok you'll need to swap the headers, I don't believe they will fit with the GT-40P's. if anything I'd mill the heads a little to get as much compression out of it as possible & keep it running on pump gas. As far as intakes go I'd say a used Edelbrock performer would be perfect for those...
