What e.t's were you guys running when you broke your stock block?

My buddy had a single 9.8 second pass on a brand new setup. Got the car back on the dyno a week later and split the block on the dyno. Goddamn that must suck!

The "CAI" is NOT a "performance" modification.

(those numbers were examples). The principle holds true. Believe it or not, but each bend (even the smallest one) adds flow RESISTANCE. This is expressed as equivalent loss length. I was installing an industrial de-ionizing system at work. I had a choice between two 45degree fittings or...

The "CAI" is NOT a "performance" modification.

Each bend or elbow changes the flow characteristics. Bends or elbows are rated for equivalent loss length. For example a 45 degree elbow might represent the equivalent of 6 feet of pipe. Sweeping or radius bends are best. Smooth walls are better than "kinked" or ribbed walls. The...

    stalled in traffic wtf????

First off at idle you should not be using the IAC. (assuming stock ofcourse). A stock motor should be able to idle with the iac unplugged. I had the exact same problem in my 98 cobra. Turns out it was a bad MAF. and as for the fuel being rulled out... You could have a clogged filter or...

    A/C clutch troubleshoot

Hissin50 is the REAL expert on this AC stuff. But I can try and pass along what he did for me. 1. Check low pressure switch. Jumper it with a paper clip. If the clutch turns on then your low on fluid. 2. is the clutch spacing too high? Maybe the spacing is too high and it can't grab...

    Rearend Removal

Don't forget to undue the center connector brake line and e-brake cable. 4 bolts on the UCA, LCA, shock bolts...what am I missing here...oh quad shocks...that's it. You can do it without the spring compressor, but it helps to have a second jack and a long taper punch.

    siezed engine

No offense but it hurts my eyes to TRY and read your post. You may find others are more willing to help when you use correct spelling and grammar. Especially, when it comes to troubleshooting. More important to the cost of rebuilding your engine is the knowledge required to do it...

Last Option, if it doesn't work, then I am getting rid of it.

Before you spend another penny in hardware you should invest in seat time at the track. A 40MPH headwind is outrageous and will affect your et.

How difficult is an electric fan to install?

It always great when our signifficant others give us stuff (and don't know it). :D Since my GT was totaled I told my Girlfriend to take any parts she wants or needs (I sugested the head lignts, markers and fog lights) for starters. The "parts store" is now no farther than the back yard...

How difficult is an electric fan to install?

Michael, I agree. My comment was poised at the majority of Stangers who don't use the DC controller. There are many factors that will determin total duty cycle and (resultant) current drain. Factors include radiator material, cooling fin area fan choice, AC condensor and even Auto-trans...

    damn exhaust leak

I think that high temp stuff is good to 500 Fahrenheit. I wonder how hot the collector gets? I have found I have to loosen all the hangers to get enough slack to "average" out the mismatch. I fought this on my last install. Plus I had several header bolts backing out every couple of days...
