    REAR END EXPERTS PLEASE HELP!!

    Are you using a NEW crush sleave or trying to use the old one? Always use new and measure the bearing pre-load. The #1 problem is developing enough torque to crush the sleave. It takes like 600Ft. lbs. to do this.

    Alternators are just like motors...they don't necessarily produce power in a linear mode. Your simply producing the same amperage at a lower engine rpm. The input impedence of the alt winding is your limiting factor. Oh and try and produce too much current and you'll just blow the diodes...

    That's a good question 92 stang. A great way to protect your frame is to run radial tires. They'll break free and protect the frame from twisting like a pretzel. At least that's the justification I use.

    both gear installations I have done had shims. This sets the pinion depth. Typical install is to cary over the shims. I believe this is due to the variations in houshing bore. There should me no "in-n-out" slop on the pinion. Or at least it should be inperceivable. Have you got it set...

    Shift kit for aod

    Transgo kit with the video was awesome. I was scared to death tho crack open the aod. BUt with the video it was easy. Neck snapping shifts. I think 5200 at wot. Well worth the 100 bucks.

    Helps to have: hydraulic press, bearing breaker, air tools (not required, but very helpful), dial indicator + magnetic stand, bearing puller (I did my rear axel seals and wheel bearings at the same time at (90K miles), inch pound beam torque wrench, big wrench for torquing the crush...
