99 GT, fuel guage sucks, why?

welll, im no expert, but I have a good understanding of the scientific method. there are 3 main possibilities: either your guage is faulty, the float mechanism on the fuel pump in the tank that reads the fuel tank level is faulty (most likely), or there is a bad connection from the tank...

Yes, those brits are always bit dramatic in their presentations. At one point I thought the guy was going cry due to how much he loved the car. He loved the car ergonomically too. Though, he did slip up. At one point he said "you can even move the gear lever with one hand!" I would hope so...

    stock shifter question

Tri-Ax is a shorter but crisper shift, there will be more resistance. However, the Tri-Ax has built in stops so you can be pretty hard on it... though it seems you have pretty easy on your car, so over time the shifts will break in a little. Also 3500 rpm is wierd rpm to shift from 1st to 2nd...

wtf is car and driver smoking

concerning tire size, some of you are not looking at the entire picture. technically 235/55/17 is using MORE rubber then 245/45/17. How so you may ask? due to higher profile, the diameter of the 235/55/17 tire is 1.5 inches greater then 245/45/17. that's a lot of extra rubber compared...

    Coolant... should I change it?

every 6 months? that seems rather excessive to me, what is that on average, every six thousand miles? which me brings me to my next question, can changing your coolant too often affect things detrimentally? because, after all, you exposing the internal system to more air.

    GTO or Stang

The GTO is an old australian design. It's basically a Holden and a stop gap measure by GM until they reintroduce the camaro/firechicken. Its chassis has actually been around for awhile, and was tuned for more comfort then peformance, due to the Aussie's poor roads. I just saw Car and Driver TV...
