    My adjustable DIS timing mod

Here is how I modified my crank trigger so I could adjust ignition timing. This is for the 8-plug engines. I've been running this for some time now, waiting for the pictures to be developed. Probably close to 3,000 miles on it now. Thanks to everyone over the years for the chats that...

Head Milled .050" - Which Grade?

There are too many variables to give a simple yes or no answer. Examples of the variables are altitude, engine maintenance, and load (weight). Second FT's advice, you'll need to tune it to your conditions. See if this helps, section 6.13: http://www.faqs.org/faqs/autos/gasoline-faq/part3/...

    Milling Question

FWIW, my new combo platter is up & running: 89 DP head milled .050", A237 roller cam straight up, +.020" KB pistons, Total Seal rings..... I cc'ed the head at 54cc and it's important to note the KB pistons have 4.5cc for valve relief. I calculate 9.5:1 when the head gasket space is included...

Errrr, is that the actual guage or a "representation"? The pic I'm seeing has redline at 4,500 and only goes to 85mph. Sorry. It's early. Maybe I'm missing something.

    aluminum steering rack bushings?

Is anyone using them? http://www.maximummotorsports.com/rbd.asp or in poly: http://www.maximummotorsports.com/urethanesteeringrack.asp A search revealed mostly discussions about offset bushings to compensate for lowering; understood. My question is about materials. Are the MMST-3 going...

If we only did a Head Swap then?

I have Edelbrock 6037's (and shorties) in a Cobra and everything else is stock from the intake horn to the exhaust tips. No CELs, no need to screw with fuel pressure, no worries, just be sure to check/set the lifter preload during installation. No, it won't blow up. You'll be fine. :nice:

    One last try

2.3Lxhatch311, I missed what year your car is. On my '93, my ECT connector corroded to the point of an open circuit. This told the computer the engine was very cold, hence go to cold start enrichment even though the engine was fully warmed and ambient air temps were >90*. Same symptoms, and...
