    Brake specs?

    What are the details for V6 2005 brakes? Have there been any changes for 2005? I'm interested in rotor diameters and thickness, number of pistons, and any other useful trivia. I believe in previous years the V6 and GT shared brake components, is this still the case? Thanks guys! :cheers:

    As another option, you could take them off and inspect them visually and with an ohmeter. Dr. Jacobs wrote a few pages on wires inspection in his book. FWIW, I've had my FMS wires for....approximately 20,000 miles.

    What about porting?(both intake and heads) You can do the intake yourself; just need to find an electric drill and a rotary rasp from the hardware store. I wouldn't pay to have it done, there's not much to be gained (see my flowbench data). The cost to port the head will depend on the work...

    Yeah, a port & polish is needed, especially on the intake port; the exhaust port flow (exhaust/intake ratio) is pretty good. P&P'ing this head won't alter the low-end torque that you mentioned.     Cobra cam and 1.7's

    A statement like that is pretty bold. I'd like to see the data supporting it. FWIW, my Dyno2000 software says the Cobra cam will make equal or more horsepower than some commonly recommended cams, but less torque; I believe the wide LCA is the cause. 270/270 duration, too.

    IMHO, there's no need to spend money on a larger TB and MAF when the stock head and valvetrain are retained, and the Cobra already has U/D pulleys so I wouldn't do that, either. If you retain the stock heads and valvetrain, close the hood; your work there is done. Save your money for gas.
