BlackGMC, you put any engine you want in there. It's not like you are cutting up a Boss or a Shelby. I am a big fan of innovation, so make it cool and make it fast. I look forward to future pics on the project, as my 1970 Grande is gonna need a fair amount of similar work. LOL@ Hack. Yup, you...

Hack, I can't figure out if your full of crap or just plain dense. Either way, it's not really what this thread is about, so I'll save any further response for later. Back on topic, looking forward to more pics.

Actually, having either motor is a win in my book. Both can make serious power. BTW, I am inpressed with what you are doing to your 70. Mine is waiting for you when you are done!

Well I see a little bias there, but what the heck, gotta be loyal to something. At first I thought you were comparing similar generations, ie Gen III vs. Mod motor. It doesn't make a lot of sense comparing an engine designed in 1960 to one made in the late 90s. Let's look at each issue point...

Call to Fabricators, clutch pedal 68 69

A friend of mine works in product development at NPD and I asked the same question. Liability issues was the answer. Making a clutch pedal "set" involves the brake pedal, and nobody wants the risk. I know it can be worked around, but clearly the profits don't outweigh the negatives at this point.

How, exactly, is an LS1 designed like a Ford? Other than the whole "internal combustion" part?

    Hello

I was actually going to build a clone just like that one day, except I was going to use the standard hood scoop instead of the shaker. Love the color, love the wheels, love everything about it. Get a Marti report and see what the numbers shake out to be.

    351C carb size

I have heard that Holley 750 vacuums don't actually flow 750, more like 650. No knowledge if that is true or not, but I ran a 750 vacuum on a stock 351w for years until it was time to do the motor. Got 16-17 on the highway. This was a carb right out of the box.

750 can easily be made to work well on a Cleveland.

Need pictures of a 69 in Calypso Coral

Yours is definitely not Calypso Coral. The Grande in my sig is. The color was much more common on 1970 models. 69 Machs never came in that color, as far as I know. I have only seen Bosses and Cougar Eliminators in that color for 1969

1969 Mustang coupe - good deal?

What was wrong with the Performer? Too restrictive? The Xcelerator seems to be designed for more aggresive cams than the 270.....

1969 Mustang coupe - good deal?

Sounds like a good combo and similar to my goals. For this car I want a fairly smooth runner that makes good torque, runs well on pump gas, gets reasonable mileage, and has good vacuum. I will be running manifolds instead of headers, and maybe a 650 instead of a 750. Otherwise, you basically had...
