DUW: IRS bushing install with pics

Looks like about as much fun as I had installing my upper rear control arm bushings on my GT. That took me a day just to get the bushings out. I tried using a torch to melt them out but I got a little scared with the gas tank 5 inches away. I ended up muscling my bushings out with a drill...

HP Billet Cams on a Cobra Killer Car!

I wish I could but I'm a little scared with the stock block. I've added(or am adding) a couple of small items that may put me in the 430 ballpark already and I just don't want to push it. I would love to have that loping sound and that extra hp but I gotta wait. I guess I'll just have to...

HP Billet Cams on a Cobra Killer Car!

:nice: I am really jealous. I bet it sounds really good and the results speak for themselves.

Bad drone with Magnaflow and DrGas, what should I get?

I don't know for sure. I was advised by Tim that they may hamper the exhaust flow which could hurt my numbers. I still have them in my garage but I don't use them. They did reduce the exhaust noise(including the drone), though.

Bad drone with Magnaflow and DrGas, what should I get?

Hmmm... We have just about the same setup except I have long tubes and I don't have that much drone compared to most of the cars I've ridden in. I'm definitely the quitest of the 3 original guinea pigs(me with Magnaflows, tigerdog(Rod with Flowmasters), and mustnag03(Dave with Borla)) I...

Has anyone heard any updates on the cobra killer turbo kit?

Is that an adaptive turbo tune or supercharger tune?

Has anyone heard any updates on the cobra killer turbo kit?

Awesome news, Joe. Man, ya'll have been very busy since I saw it last Monday. I'll have to stop by and check it out this weekend. Andy was getting all excited when that turbo arrived last week. I guess that T-88 might be a little much for his car. :)

Has anyone heard any updates on the cobra killer turbo kit?

It's being installed on Andy's(T&J Boy) car as I write.... I think they want to have it installed and tuned by the end of December...

Oil: Royal Purple vs. Mobil 1 Synthetic

I saw this the other day about 5w20 and thought it was interesting. I think my next oil change will be with Mobil One 5W30.... http://www.svtperformance.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=64107

    VT N/A Camshaft video/soundclip

Guess it wouldn't be to good an idea to throw those on a stock block, then. :) I'll add those to my list when Tim builds my long block....

    VT N/A Camshaft video/soundclip

I wonder how much power I would get from some blower cams with stock heads(for now). I'd love to get some but I'm a little paranoid since I already have 400+ rwhp on this stock block. I wish I had the dough to do what you did Jared. When you throw that blower on there, you are really going...

    NOVI 2000 owners, I have a question.

Interesting.... I had to put a new belt on this weekend so I did some checking and it appears I am oil-free(at least in the right places). I didn't have any oil in the upper intake plenum and I didn't have any oil in the hoses running to my my power pipe. I guess the last PCV valve I put on...

The only X pipe I've ever seen to gain Torque...this much

Now that's an interesting question that I don't have an answer to. This has been battled for months in other threads and everyone has their own opinions but my decision came down to how loud the exhaust was. I wanted the quietest exhaust system possible without sacrificing performance. I went...

The only X pipe I've ever seen to gain Torque...this much

Kirky, to be honest with you, I think my car is actually quieter at idle with the Dr. Gas off road X pipe than with the catted BBK H pipe. I don't know why but I swear it is. As for WOT, that's a different story. It's loud as hell. As far as raspy, mine doesn't sound raspy at all. Mine does...

The only X pipe I've ever seen to gain Torque...this much

Welcome the Dr. Gas club..... :nice: I actually was under your car watching Jeff and Andy mock up the install. I was also beaming with jealousy looking at your tubular K member. You've got one of the nicest cars I've seen and I've looked at it from many angles. It truly is a show and go...

    How strong are factory rods?

Any one that puts any type of power adder on their car needs to prepare for these possibilities. Even with a perfect tune things can break or wear out. I hope it doesn't but I know it could.... I started a rebuild fund when I bought the charger(although I dipped into it to get an intercooler).

    >>> Kenne Bell 2V twinscrew SC is here!!!!!

:nice: I like that you're going straight to the 11lb pulley. Next the 14lb. :) You need to get a raised floor(maybe a little overkill). :) I know what you mean by contractors. I've gotten too fed up with waiting on people to do things. I had talked to someone about wiring my house...

    >>> Kenne Bell 2V twinscrew SC is here!!!!!

I think Tim's going to have to change his screen name because of all this condescension. :) Yeah, the tunes probably OK but safe and OK are 2 different things. If the tune doesn't take into consideration different parameters that are occurring in the system then it can't react and adjust to...

    >>> Kenne Bell 2V twinscrew SC is here!!!!!

:D I saw my first Kenne Bell Blower last week on a 302 and I must say it looks very nice. It sounded a little quieter than the roots style to me but the guy didn't go WOT for me to really tell how loud it was. Nice looking, though. He hadn't had it dyno'd. If you could only adjust the...
