    Restomod it the Eleanore's are bringing in more the the 68 fastback's. The SN95 should be worth more then a restored hipo fastback. The shelby clones bring in more the restored fastbacks. You really cant lose anyway, you proved your craftmanship if you build it someone will buy it.

    It be cheaper to get a boss 302 windage tray off ebay usually around 30.00-35.00 dollars and is good for 5-10 horsepower increase. Ford claims alot more like 20-25 h.p but I doubt it. Bolts right up to a 289 and works with the stock oil pan.

    Yes it can be done. Get an inexpensive manual, nothing hard about it-but it will outline the precaution's and explain the way to do it, in better detail then I can.

    It was an option delete for cars going to Hawaii, Florida and Texas have yet to see one in Arizona. Standard on the 65 shelby R models. The heater delete parts are worth money to people making a "R" copy.

    Newbie in need of some help...

    Yes it should be on the dash and it will also stamped in the inner fender on the drivers side There is another VIN stamping on the passenger side, but it's covered up by the fender. Does the number on the title match the one you found?

    Anyone that ever worked with sheet metal will tell you, its not as easy as you think it is -that guy (Preston) did one amazing job! The fenders flares, are the only thing keeping that car from flying. That he fabricated the flares by hand instead of just bolting on some aftermarkets ones...

    lol, I'm not that old - it's still fun! Only complaint I have is alot more traffic. Nothing like the sound of a souped up 289 in a hotrod mustang, or to just see a 1968 Shelby Gt500 " vert" - to make me feel like I am 16 once more.

    Figure I give you guys a cheap trick we used back in the late 60's - early 70's to keep the mustangs cool. We used the radiator out of a Ford station wagon with a 390 ( possibly the countrysquire) It was a big 3 or 4 core radiator that dropped right in with no modifications except to redrill...

    Thats great, Thank you for the info and write up. I got a line on a 65-66 OE disk brake setup but if that fails to go thru , I think I will go with the Scarebird conversion. Glad to hear you are please with it.

    I am going to have to do something soon as far as disc brakes go. I do not want to go with the Granada setup I just got. Did you have to reinforce the firewall for the master cyclinder? Did the MC clear the export brace, I am assuming you have a standard transmission.
