Fuel Gauge Affected by Hard Cornering

I haven't experienced this issue on my Mustang, but I have experienced a similar issue on my Ford Explorer. We were having issues where the gauges were not going to full after the tank was filled, which caused the on-board computer to state strange things. I contacted my Dealer and he told me...

Totally off base here, but I've already informed my son (who is the oldest, 12) that he shouldn't even think of sneaking the Mustang out if Mom and Dad aren't home. I informed him that all I have to do is hook-up the tuner, change the rev limiter, top speed, etc, then take the tuner with me...

I never asked for the judging card, but I could see that it was going by a points system. I was trying to sneak a peek at it as they were walking around the car. I saw mostly 10's/9's and possibly two 7's. I agree with you on the tires thing, I had an armor-all sponge in the car and decided...

    I got lucky

Man are you lucky! Back in 1993 when the terrible hail-storm blew threw Dubuque, you would of crapped your pants to see the kind of damage. I happened to be a mechanics shop with a steel roof when it came down and it sounded like the roof was coming in on us. We stood by the overhead door and...

I was a little baffled at this myself, but when I pulled into the show a judge at the entrance gave me a piece of paper and "He" decided what category I was in. I suppose I could of chosen 1988 - Present (Modified) but didn't really know what to think being my first show. As far as the...

Not sure if anyone will care, but I entered the Mustang into my first Car Show today. I entered into the 1988 - Present (Stock) category and really wasn't expecting to win anything since there were so many nice cars there. Well low and behold I took 3rd Place! :D 1st Place went to a 2010...

All Hail the Mustang, man I love this car!

Oh yes, another thing to note is that with my exhaust set-up (O/R H-Pipe, Flowmaster AT axle backs and the resonators) one might expect some drone. I can tell you that there is no drone whatsoever at this cruising speed. It was so quiet I would have to stomp on it periodically to make sure it...

All Hail the Mustang, man I love this car!

Well, just took my son to summer camp and put 440 miles on the Mustang today. It was a beautiful day with perfect weather and a sunburned left arm/leg to prove it. Anyway, most of the trip the cruise was set at 73 mph and believe it or not, the best mileage I got was 26.7 mpg on the way to...

    Please Help!!

This sounds like a Security System issue to me. Does the Red Security Light on the dash stay on? Also, have you tried your other key? It could be that the computer chipped key isn't working properly. And of course, have you checked all of the fuses?

    Magnaflow Axle back, terrible sound

+1 on the resonators I think if you install a set of these you'll be happy. Granted I have an O/R H-Pipe but you'll get the idea of where you could install these in your car by looking at my pictures.

    Charge Motion Delete Plates

Just want to here the Pros/Cons from those who have installed the Charge Motion Delete Plates. - Much of a HP gain? - Is the price worth the HP gain? - Do these change your exhaust tone at all? - What kind of MPG decrease did you see? - Install easy or time consuming? - Best brand and...

2005 mustang gt fail safe mode

This is the same info I put in the last post you had: First things first, when you installed the the K&N Cold Air Intake, are you sure that you installed the Mass-Air Sensor the proper way? Just look at the sensor that you screwed into the intake tube and make sure the "FLOW ARROW" points...

Damn, I'm jealous! :nice: I'd love to do the same thing, adding a blower, I just can't seem to come up with the cabbage to swing it. Guess I'll have to keep trying to win the lottery!

    alright guys...WTF!?!?!

Have you gone into the tuners optional parameters to make sure that you have the proper rear axle ratio and tire size (revs/mile) selected? I know this sounds crazy but if something got changed in there and it's different than what you really have on the car, it could make a difference with...

I've got the car back... anyone want to explain?

Sounds to me like Ford may have come out with some new software that may of included a fix for spark knock when cold, which may be less evident when higher octane fuel is used. Where I work, they do various software upgrades throughout the year and the only people that know about these updates...
