    Yeah, your 245-45-17's will fit on a 17"x9" rim. I had the same issue when I got my Stang and I put 17"x9" Cobra R's on. Eventually I want to get wider tires though.

    I had mine welded in by a local muffler shop. They told me they get requests for this all the time from Mustangers. Just find a muffler shop that's been doing it and you'll be fine. It took about an hour to install. They had to remove the stock subframes (I have a vert) which were bolted on.
