    I've used the iTrip and the Belkin ones, and they both suck. The Monster one sucks less, but it's still problematic. And even if it works perfectly, it's still only working at FM quality.

    I can vouch for using the spray-on stuff. While it's not exactly made for the purpose, the model paint called "transparent black" does a decent job.

    Oh, and if you're going to seriously consider wheel/tire mass, you'd have to also taking width into account. After all, a 10" wide wheel is heavier than a 9" wide wheel.

    I have to think that the difference in terms of rotational inertia, while arguable, is not a huge deal. At least not unless you're talking about autocrossing or some other racing when you are working out on the edge. For my uses, though, the weight difference seems negligable.

    When it's warm or not particularly rainy, mine is my daily driver. When the weather gets cold, I'll switch to my CRV. There are times during the winter, though, when the roads are clear and relatively salt-free, so I take it out for a stretch. :D

    So other than looks (which is okay), there isn't much justification for spending $1000+ for new wheels and tires? I figured there must be some physical advantage, like less sidewall flex...but I'm guessing it's not significant enough to merit the cost. Right? :doh:
