how hard is it to convert an 8.8 rear end

Check out my cardomain site... there is a page (full of pics) that have what I did to a 91 mustang rear end... it drives/runs great and it was very simple to do. Good luck

    Partial Floor Pan

you can check out my cardomain... tons of pictures of the floors. For only the front portion or just the front, no support is necessary, especially if you are only doing the one side. I jused spot welds on the floors and then a seam type weld on the seat supports. I finally did complete...

    October Progress Photos

What are you using to hold the carpet in the trunk area? I need to do this for a coupe, but am worried about regular particle board.... but I want it flat and protective of the rear quarters, etc.

First post! Newbie....67 cowl panel fix.

It doesnt need fresh air... it takes the air from the interior of the car, which is eventually the best air to recirculate. It is cooler and that is what makes the air work to the lowest temp. If you only tried to cool 90+ degree air every time, it will not work that well. If you have it...

Newbie with a rust 67' stang. And some questions.

We are not trying to talk you out of it... read my page about all I went through to build.... "just a coupe". I like the car, its a ton of fun and the fastback guys like the look and theme of my car. Ask away and be ready for some long nights and tough times.... what is your sentimental...

Newbie with a rust 67' stang. And some questions.

Does this particular car have sentimental value to you? If so... save it... if not, I dont know if it is worth messing with. There are other cars in much better shape out there and you can use this for V8 conversion parts, etc. Otherwise, you are in for a ton of work BUT... it will be worth...

painting interior, to prime or no?

the sealer is a 'primer' but not a bulk building paint... its not 'sandable'. I hope I have explained it well, but what you suggest is a good idea as well.

painting interior, to prime or no?

Use a very thin metal sealer... not really primer and use the laquer paint... that will be very thin and what I did.... you can easily see all the marks in the metal.

    Cowl Vent Repair

"I may also consider welding the upper portion of the cowl as the probability of water encroachment is unlikely" This was another part I was curious about.... how would/will you seal the windshield (and install it) with 1/4" high bolt heads sticking up? I realize the early years had the...

    Cowl Vent Repair

Only choice is to weld it... I would also buy the new setup that comes complete, not the repair panels... otherwise you will be taking out about 350 spot welds, and that is a LONG task.... Plus the metal will be new from the aftermarket and all will be good. Just clean up your new outer portion...

Who makes the best quality Shelby fiberglass parts?

I got all mine from Branda and the endcaps were terrible, but I did get the vacuum formed Trunk lid and shelby hood. Both were very good in my opinion. I got the taillight panel from the LED vendor in TX and it was wonderful in every way. I think all of it takes work and nothing is...

    New Mustang Steering Product

Another question... how will it 'feel' vs the rack steering? I dont mind my original 67 power steering, but the rack's are much more tight feeling, etc. I hope I have explained my question well... Thanks.

    New Mustang Steering Product

LED taillights - no blinkers now! UGGGHH

Just get their new flasher module. It replaces the actual flasher with a special one for the LED's. Works great and can be used with any LED or lightbulb. That way you are not putting more current than you have to by adding a resistor in place. Just the right way of doing it.

    Export brace/monte-carlo bar fix/suggestions

Ok... I think I finally understand where they bolts are... as I have depicted in the ROUGH picture modified. The L shaped is the stock monte carlo bar, and it makes sense that it is tied into the front of the shock tower, and that 90 degree bend should make it VERY stable from movement in the...

I started a new one on the strut tower brace... now post pictures of that custom console you made, so I can look at it and decide whether or not to do one also!

    Export brace/monte-carlo bar fix/suggestions

I'm not doubting you... I just cant see it. I see the two on the top of the mount and it appears to be one on the lower portion. That would put three per side and the one might be in the seam between the shock tower and fender extension... is this what you mean? What about a close up...
