    289 connecting rods

Rods It will probably be cheaper to buy new rods than to recondition old ones. New rows will probably have larger bolts than original 289 rods also.

    Fact or Fiction

A local upholsterer told me he would not install a custon headliner in a 66 mustang because any thing other than original material would be to heavy to stay put. Anyone have a custon headliner and for how long.

    Leaky FMX pan gasket!!! Ideas?

Most likely not the pan, probably leaking above and runing down, most likely dipstick tube. With all the trans leaks you said you had, I would be supprised if the pan did not have oil all over it.

    Pot Metal

What is the best way to handle the pot metal parts, (1966 tail light bezals), have rechromed, buy new. I have been told that rechromed may only last a few weeks or could last a long time no matter who does them. Then there is the quality issue of repops. So help please.

Where to get my Aluminum Radiator???

Radiator I looked at them all. Went with Ron Davis Racing Products. Super rad, looks like a million, made of sturdy aluminum, can be had w/fans and shroud. I would buy Rons rad again.

    New disc brake Question

e_brake Sorry, I just realized what Bicknel said, explorer rear/disc brakes have small drums in the center of the rotor, like older corvettes. Maybe I need rear disc with e brake in the caliper.

    New disc brake Question

brakes Late explorers already have rear disc brakes. Emergency brake is adjusted properly. Car was purchased new. Emergency brakes never held well on a hill. I would like to improve on the factory emergency brake power. Also I will be going to the late explorer rear w/disc. Narrowed of course.

    New disc brake Question

I am sure some of you stangers have a answer for me. I have never had enought emergency brake holding power, because the hand pull brake lever doesn't generate enought pressure for the smallish drum brakes. I am going to a 8.8 w/disc. Now will this hold more or less than the drums it came with...
