I dissagree. I feel that the new mustang is retro. I believe that our cars were contemporary. The new stang takes every design cue from the old mustang. What I am afraid of is that ford will try to ride this bodystyle/design for too long, and then the number crunchers will say, that it isnt...
I had a 97 that I swapped a skyline motor in. It was really fast and would destroy 03 cobras all day. It only got like 17mpg highway, but it was fun.
btw skyline motor= 2.6l twin turbo 9k rpm redline, and alot of scary fun
but honestly all they can do is a facelift. and what are they going to do, put chrome bumpers on the car??? or possibly they will make a retro mustang II, that would sell great.
I agree, I barely have a post count at all, but that is b/c I have been too busy actually building cars for the past 5 years. I recently closed my shop, and now am enjoying this as a hobby, as opposed to a carreer. It is amazing how people get soo mad on these forums, and I am guilty of it...
I was thinking the other day, What is the progression of the current retro mustang. Sure it will keep selling for 4 or 5 years, but what could possibly come next. Are we gouing to go back through all the years with more retro's or is ford going to make another major makeover in a few years...
you can get a used 240sx for cheap, or an AE86 for even cheeper. They are great cars that get good milege, and will run FOREVER. as for new cars, I would stay away from BMW, I had a 330ci and it was always having problems. I think that the mazda 3 is a decent car, but knowing that it is a...

That was mine before I upped the boost to 14psi. I sold that drivetrain to fund other racing ventures. This was back in like 2000.
no, but I did have larger fuel lines installed throughout, and larger return lines. I think that it is getting a little better now too. I will hook the wideband up to it tomorrow, and see how it is.
Yeah, I was just wondering if the gains would be in line with a gt or not. I forgot to mention I have a full msd ignition with 6al box. The car is running suuuuuuuuper rich, I will be tuning it next week. I know the 255lph pump is a lil big, but it was the smallest I had laying around.
well, when installing the motor mounts I had a real problem getting them lined up. Nothing a prybar wouldnt solve. Also on my motor mounts (energy suspension) there was a locating tab next to the stud. It had to be ground off inorder for the mounts to work.
thankyou. All I wanted to know is if the gains are different for the cobra motor as apposed to the gt.
Got it running today. It is soo wierd after it sitting soooooo long.
damn both of those are cheap. I paid $14,000 for my 383 longblock, and all that included was block, internals, heads, water pump, and cam. The motor in my sentra was $6000 to rebuild, and that is just for a mild port, pistons, rods, and re-sleeved.
the question I am asking is if the cobra motor has gt40 style intake and heads, and I add an intake that supposedly adds 12hp to a gt wouldnt the gains be larger on a car that has less bottlenecks down the line. On a GT I know that one of the limiting factors is the stock intake manifold,and...
