Post pics of how your foxbody currently sits

Back when I was in my early 20’s and I had more brilliant ideas than I do now… I decided to siphon the coolant out of the upper intake in my Camaro because I was about to take it off… got a mouthful of the green stuff. It actually does taste a bit like a flat Mt Dew. I can see why animals die...

    I’m Curious —-Why a Fox?

Insurance is another great reason why to Fox body. I think I pay $250/year for that bad boy.

    I’m Curious —-Why a Fox?

Not very complicated for me, I've always liked ponies... had an '84 Firebird 305, '97 Camaro RS (lumpy cammed 3.8), '74 Camaro LT with a 460 BBC transplant, '87 IROC-Z/28 with a 350 transplant... then an '00 Mustang GT with 4.10 gears and now a slow POS drop-top. lol Why a Mustang this time...

The Next Warhorse: 1993 Mustang LX Autocross Build

Oh yeah absolutely. My previous stang was a geared ‘00 GT… It moved out quite well. But I took it to an AutoX event just to see what it was about and there was a Miata and a NA MR2 mopping up. It was an eye opener for sure. So far I’ve pulled out the defunct AC stuff from under the hood and...

The Next Warhorse: 1993 Mustang LX Autocross Build

Very cool, I am interested in the outcome. I've been solidly focusing on what I need to do to make mine handle better and weigh less first before any consideration for engine stuff... 351, 302, LS? ( ), Turbo... stay NA? Not 100% which way to go but... Staying NA is the easiest and...

    Air Charge Temperature Sensors

I just took the whole upper intake off and replaced the gasket while I was at it... and cleaned and painted the upper intake :p It's on the backside of the lower manifold... not to be confused with the water temp sensor which is between the lower intake runners.

Yes that is a second driveway, not the yard... I'm not that bad of a person. :p

    2.3l HP squeeze

Maybe a dumb question, but without the dyno what is your method of safely tuning that beast? What kind of ECU setup you running?

    What??? Mustang Hood Insulator

Mine was all chewed up by mice, I didn't even bother to look for a replacement... just ripped off what was left and tossed it in the trash. I rather like the look myself, it's also the best paint on the whole car. :p

This is what she looks like... except for the new sneakers which look like any other sneakers at this distance... This is what I've reduced the engine compartment to so far: A little paint because: First goal is complete, I got the car to drivable condition and it goes for safety...

1991 LX Convertible - Fuel tank will not go back in

When I did my fuel pump and sender it took a lot of muscle and alignment to get the tank back in, even without new pads... the filler neck to me was the worst part but I used a deadblow hammer to massage it back into the new grommet. It's not the worst nor the easiest job but I managed to get...

The speedometer should be digital so it would be a matter of the computer reading the correct wheel speed. I’d wager someone either put way shorter tires on it than stock or swapped in some shorter gears and never bothered to fix it.

    460 and handling?

Not at all the same car but this brings back memories of my '74 Camaro, which was until 2010, the heaviest year for the Camaro... previous owner swapped in a 454 bored .030 (so it was 460 BBC). The car probably tipped the scales at 4000-4100 lb. And the best part was the shocks in the front...

    Motor swap

I read up a while on putting a 4.6 DOHC from a MK VIII in there... just ridiculously wide is the number 1 concern. I saw that there are aftermarket alternatives to hydroboost, and they do make those small diameter brake boosters, 7" diameter... not sure if that would fit. I love the modular...

Please Help! Ideas/Tips on how to make my '93 2.3l (NA) Convertible Faster.

Yeah I know how dumps sound on glasspacks or flowmaster 40’s behind a V8, but I’m looking at running a hooker aerochamber and leave the cat in there so I don’t think it will be as bad as with the typical setup. But If it ends up sucking all I need to do is slap a tailpipe on there to fix it...

Please Help! Ideas/Tips on how to make my '93 2.3l (NA) Convertible Faster.

I've been waffling over what exhaust I'm putting on mine this year... but I think I just decided to keep it real simple and as light as possible... one muffler in the stock location with a dump before the axle... I don't like the stock turned down tip near the bumper cover, nor am i sure I want...

Please Help! Ideas/Tips on how to make my '93 2.3l (NA) Convertible Faster.

This thread has been aging but I've been all over the place with what to do with my '89 2.3 Vert. And I'm in a worse state than you because it's rated at 89HP! Now I dream daily of the engine swap I could try and cobble together... which even with a real job and a real house and all those...
