Dual Fans, upgraded alternator, still not enough charging ..

I'd say check the ground issue...get the car started...run it to Autozone, etc., and have them hook up the machine to it. I put a 130A alt on the Montego a while back, then I took the car down to Autozone and had them test it...it tested out 110A...as long as it's putting out at least 80% of...

    Spark problems

So, how do the plugs look ok? The spark has to have ground to travel to the plug gap...(I.E. ground electrode) Also, make sure they're Motorcraft plugs...IDK, I've seen problems out of the "on sale" auto parts store plugs...:D Since you have swapped the wires around...and had no change, check...

E-fan with stock shroud how-to, check it out!

LOL, I've got a setup like that on my Montego. I stuffed a factory fan in the fan shroud...:nice: Stealthy too...:D I used a '96 Crown Vic police electric fan, it's already a round housing...you can also find them on Grand Marquis too...it's the electric fan that compliments the engine driven...

    New alternator question

If you are talking about the main power cable, then it should have some sort of circuit protection in it. You can either use a 175A MEGA fuse, or (2) strips of 12GA fusible link wire, just like Ford has done for years. I've added a 3G to my '73 Montego, and now to my '92 LSC, and have used the...

    What's the ideal TB size?

I've got a '92 LSC 5.0HO, got my polished Explorer intake on it now, I'm planning on heads, cam, exhaust, and such in the future. Well, I'm going to be getting a polished throttle body, and I'd like to know what the ideal size for the throttle body is, I only want to buy 1. I'm also going to...

Pressure plate hitting inside of bellhousing.

Well, I'm installing a 5 speed in the Lincoln MKVII LSC, I got it all in, adjusted, ready to go. I started it up on the stands, and heard a loud knocking sound. Well, long story short, I pulled the trans back out and the Ford Racing King Cobra clutch is hitting the bellhousing. It's a T5Z...

    Fiore FWA users?

Well, I got the new OEM cable from americanmuscle.com, and it doesn't come with the rubber grommet on it, so I don't have to worry about that. The adjuster does come with a clear piece of hose, I'm guessing goes over the end of the cable that goes into the adjuster, just a guess though...

    Fiore FWA users?

Well, I'm gathering the parts for my 5 speed swap in the Lincoln. I got the Fiore Micro-Click adjuster, I'm looking for install info on it. This is my first Fox platform car, and my first 5 speed swap. So, I have the adjuster, and the OEM cable, and I don't know how exactly it goes. Do I...

    Billet quadrant problem.

I got the Fiore/Reichard racing billet quad, and adjuster. Well, i go to put the quad on, and it comes with 2 plastic spacers, but there is still a bunch of room that the quad can move back and forth on the rods. Has anyone had this problem before? Is this normal? Is the quad just supposed...

    What fluid in a T5Z?

I have the opportunity to get a T5Z with about 100 miles on it, :D the guy bought the car, took out the T5Z, and is going to an auto instead. Well, long story short, I was wondering what type of fluid you guys run in your T5's. I know Mercon is the standard, but what about Royal Purple...

    Best quadrant, cable, and adjuster???

I saw the MM stuff, and then the Fiore stuff, I am leaning towards the Fiore stuff. I just want the good stuff, so I will lessen the risk of breaking it...did I mention I'm 6'4" and wear size 15 shoes?...:D

    Short throw and clutch suggestions.

I've driven a few cars with Tri-Axes, and I love the way they shift. Cool, so you're running the same thing. I'm gathering the parts for a T5 swap for the Lincoln, so when I have problems with the AOD, I'll be ready.
